All the great pacifists had flaws, but few of them were hypocrites about those flaws (IE MLK's womanizing did not conflict with his nonviolence)

Abortion-AgainstGay Marriage-I'm personally against it and dont think its right, but they do have a right to be married if they truely love eachother. They'll be essentially married and considered a couple by the way they live.Iraq War-I was for and am, but I do see all the flaws in it as well. I dont think this is Bush's fault, but more the whole entire governments problem and is at fault because they didnt think of all the problems in the aftermath. The U.S. military is the greatest fighting force in the world, but are not police. I also think that the news only shows you the bad sh*t that happens. They show us the soldiers getting killed and the terrorists with thier car bombs, etc, but they dont show all the good things that the U.S. Army is doing. They dont show how much good as come out of this. I dont think we can just pack up and get out of there either. We have to stick it out and cant let Iraq become the next Vietnam.Gun Control-I against it. I think some people are confused on this. Not just anybody can go out and buy a gun at any time they want. I do think that automatic assult rifles should be sold like ak-47's and M16's, but your regular handguns and rifles should be. National Health Care-I dont think we should have a health care system like any of the European countries or Canada do, but we should have some form for those that cant pay for thier health care. I think what BCB is saying cost so much about the death penalty is that they can appeal so many times and it the court costs add up. I think that part is almost a complete waste of time. When someone gets the death penalty, there is almost no chance that they arent guilty of the crime. The U.S. court system very rarely convicts innocent people. Most of the time if they get another trial, they are found guilty again, so its a waste of time and money. I think there just should be a faster way of killing them, rather than it taking so long. Affirmative Action-I'm against it. I think that most of the time, minority groups make it into such a big deal and make it an issue when it really isnt. Of course your going to have more white people in the work force sine America is made of mostly white people. With this, it also takes jobs from some white people that are more qualfied than a minority. If a black guy and a white guy go in for a job and they both went to a four year school and have the same amount of experience, the black guy is going to get the job because the company doesn't want to be handed a law suit by the NCAAP because they claim that this is racism and what not. All it does it make race more of an issue that it is, and bring down the white man while they claim all they want is a fair deal and want to be equal. By no means am I a expert (or think anyone here is), but from what I've read and discussed with my peers, I dont really like the whole idea and dont think its right and so many levels.
On stem-cell research, my Biology teacher told us about 2 weeks ago that scientists have found a way to do stem-cell research without killing the baby. Supposedly, they just take some of the fluid from the mothers womb which has shredded skin cells from the baby and they can use those. I havent personaly read anything on it, but I believe it...why would our biology teacher lie to us. So now we dont have to kill babies.btw, I was against it.

The death penalty only works well in countries with poor legal systems, like South America, Africa and the MiddleEast. You add up all the court time, all the taxpayer money, and in my mind it's not worth killing someone that would just sit in a prison cell for the rest of his life anyway. It's not cost effective, it's costs less to sentence a man to life then it does to put him on death row.
