The White Sox have acquired OF Eloy Jimenez, RHP Dylan Cease, 1B Matt Rose, and INF Bryant Flete from the Cubs in exchange for LHP Jose Quintana as per MLB Network.
I guess the White Sox have opted for a fire sale. What we'll probably see when the trading deadline is finished is a sign reading "Cashman Slept Here: posted to a cot inside his office.
^^^Al, the problem is not so much just this year...going forward the Yanx' rotation doesn't give me the "warm and fuzzy" feeling.
...^^^...from everything I've seen and read the Yanx neither offered nor even came close to giving up Torres and Frazier for Quintana... more like Blake Rutherford and Justus Sheffield.
Rutherford and sheffield had no chance of getting quintana. Torres and or frazier would have had to be in a quintana deal and thankfully cash told them to take a hike
...the White Sox may have asked for both Frazier and Torres because after all, you can't get anything if you don't at least ask for it...so they were likely just testing the waters...but I doubt Cashman and the Yanx ever seriously considered it. "In giving up Eloy Jimenez and Dylan Cease as part of a four-player package for Quintana, the Cubs dealt highly-rated prospects who would be roughly the equivalent of the Yankees trading Blake Rutherford and Justus Sheffield."
I just whipped up some frozen daquiri's in the blender and my Husband is having a Shit Fit. No time for bed any time soon.
