There are about 20 contracts in the league that were given to players last year and are equally unmoveable. Should have a special name for the 2016 Free Agency.

Let's name them: Noah, Anderson, Biyombo, Bazemore, Crabbe, Turner, Leonard, Deng, Mozgov, Parsons, Marvin Williams, Mahinmi, Teletovic, Tyler Johnson, Solomon Hill, Crawford. That's 16 contracts that are absolutely shit and we have three of them.

Well I like Aminu but think Harkless would be better to keep. I hate Anderson's contract but if we got him and a pick for Aminu, Davis, Leonard, that cuts our salaries by $3M and Anderson can play basketball.

Why would the Knicks want Aminu and Davis? Not exactly the type of pieces a rebuilding team covets. Of course, they are both expiring contract. So, I suppose that would allow the Knicks to overpay for another mediocre free agent next summer.

Or, we could save them the trouble and just give them another one of ours!

Aminu is a fine player, especially for his contract - 2 years 15 million. Only 2.5 years older than Harkless. Davis is expiring. It's a meh.

Of course they would rather have Harkless, but maybe if you squeeze them tight enough....

Which is why I like my trade proposal. It has us getting rid of two of those three hideous contract (the biggest two) and taking back zero in return.

Perhaps a pipe dream, but it does get NYK two things they want (Carmelo out and Harkless in) and get's HOU what they want the most (Carmelo in). It all hinges on if BRK still wants Crabbe. Well, that and if HOU wants Melo bad enough to give up Gordon and Ariza instead of Anderson.

Aminu+Davis+Meyers would be fine...as long as we aren't taking on Anderson's contract! I'd trade that package for pretty much anything that doesn't come with a 4-year, $20M/year contract.

I thought Aminu was expiring but evidently he's got two years left. He's still relatively young. He's cheap. Why wouldn't they want him? I don't really want to trade him. I see the value in his defense.

If we got a pick back in the deal I'd consider making that trade.

So I rarely get involved in these WHAT IF or possible trade threads...... I have a question, did at any point somebody actually say Ryan Anderson is on his way to PDX? Or is everybody just speculating this? And somebody above said because two people from NYC tweeted about this, it's happening. What if the Biggamedame freak on here tweeted something out and somebody in LA ran with it! I love it! Some of these tweets are showing blazersedge as a "source" Give me a fucking break! Those asshats know nothing. Might as well site some local radio guy as a source.

I know a guy named Ryan and a guy named Anderson and they both live in Portland. I'm not sure how much more proof you need.

Yeah, I also thought he was expiring. He's almost 27. That's not young to a rebuilding team. He's almost 3 years older than Harkless, which is why I'm sure the Knicks covert Harkless more than Aminu.

I said it previously, that I consider Aminu pretty much equal to Harkless. So, I'd be fine with trading Harkless and moving Aminu back to the 3 - as long as we get something of value in return.

This just feels so much like the Denver trade. Neil is being patient.

Portland doesn't want to give up Harkless but may have to in order to move another bad contract. The problem is, they may end up taking on a bad contract back (Anderson....who no one wants). The next issue is that while no one wants Anderson, neither does anyone want Leonard who Portland is wanting to move if they are taking on Anderson.
