John Henson is basically the same size as Zach Collins. (Maybe an inch longer) I would much rather develop Zach as he can at least shoot from the outside. Yes I would give them Leonard as they can always use more outside shooting on the Bucks team, but I would not give them anything more.

The BGD computer has scanned your post, and will reply about developing players shortly.

Henson is the classic case of a guy who is a good shot blocker, but a bad defender. His net production and on court/off court stats are terrible, much worse than his teammate Greg Monroe, who isn't exactly known for his defense.

This. I am not willing to give up significant assets for him at all, and Meyers would be a decent offer as Bucks are going to still need shooting and he is a little cheaper than Henson. I would be cool with that and giving Henson 15-18 minutes a game. He is not worth a bigger package, there is a chance Bucks consider him a bad contract every bit as much as we consider Leonard one.

Swanigan could get the job done without burning a pile of money

You can never have too many big men with length to throw into the rotation. I'd take Henson over Ed Davis.

Yeah and it's a fan opinion, and we know what that's worth ;)

Still, maybe he was and is soft IDK. I'd like to know what his defense and rebounding are like

Well, there's that. Normally I'd just say "asset acquisition", but if he's disgruntled there, we don't need him to be disgruntled here.

Considering it appears the Blazers are trying to move Meyers, possibly by mutual agreement, I hope Olshey is looking for a way to make this a threeway.

Rebounding is average for his height and position. Good shot blocker, but easily pushed around and overpowered by bigger, stronger players.

BTW, for those concerned that Zach Collins is "too skinny", Collins at 19 weighs more (232 lb.) than Henson at 26 (229 lb.). As a 22-year old rookie Henson weighed 216 lb. Collins already weighs more and will add a little more weight as he grows into his body and will also add strength with an NBA training regime.

I actually liked Henson in the 2012 draft. He was coming from a good program (UNC) and was a good shot blocker in college. But, he's never developed any kind of offensive game and has never really added the strength necessary to play in the paint in the NBA. At 26 and on his contract, I'd rather just roll with Collins and Swanigan.

I don't think Collins will have a problem adding weight once his body matures a bit (he's only 19). Looking at the size of his dad. It looks like he won't have problems at all.

I'd ask Milwaukee for Middleton BTW. I'm aware it's going to be mighty difficult to get him but Milwaukee have Brogdon who I still feel is more suited to a shooting guard position, and just signed Snell to a $11M per year contract, so maybe they'd consider it for a very good package. Something along the lines of Harkless, Davis and unprotected future first round pick may do the trick, or we could involve a third team that would be able to send them a point guard they so badly need. We could even take some of their bad deals (Henson, Dellavedova) and give them expiring contract Aminu in return.

I like Henson but we have a shitload of bigs. Maybe Milwaukee wants Leonard. They seem to love shitty white centers.

Henson is horrible. Gets some blocks, but cant defend.
