You said that it comes down to who has the best player. That's a pretty stupid point if he's not the one winning the game (hint: you're right, he's not the one winning anything). Regardless, I think it's sad that you people think Durant is going to take them to the final four.

FloridaSouthern Illinois GeorgetownTexas A&MWent out on a limb with SIU, but I figured if they don't get in it, I won't be completely screwed and if they do I will have a good chance of winning it. I do a pool with my family and friends with the winner getting around $100, so I take this pretty seriously lol.

But what I meant was the game may not go down to the last shot, but ive seen Durant score 10 points in the last 2 minutes to put the game away...most players cant do that.

Durant isn't exactly the type of player to take over a game when necessary, not yet at least, but he will hit the shot most of the time. Look at him against Oklahoma State, twice. :ranting:

In the game against Texas Tech where he had a 20+ rebounding gameIm not saying he takes over games or he always hits the clutch, but he does score alot down the game when the opposing team gets tired. Hes always done that, just watch any game hes in.

Texas won't make it to the final four because one game, or maybe most of a game, Kevin Durant will have to take the load due to his teammates playing bad. It has happened this year and that is when they loose; when he has to score every point.

They have the talent to beat anyone in the nation on any given day but they also have mental lapses in critical moments of games (see WSU & UCLA) that allows them to be beaten by anyone.

I think Durant has shown he is a clutch player, the problem is that our guards (mainly Augustin) tend to dribble too much at the end of games and don't really get Durant the ball when they should, and take the shot themselves at the end of games. That will prove costly...But here is my Final 4:KansasFloridaTexas (had to pick them!)Ohio State

As long as they play their game and stick with it they can beat anybody. Purdue they shouldn't have a problem with and if they're on their best game they can beat Florida and if that happens momentum gets them to the elite 8.

No dude were not gonna be able to beat Florida. I'm sorry but we have no answer downlow for Horford or Noah. We will get beat in every aspect of the game down low. We will have to play amazing on the perimeter if we want to have a chance to beat them.

Georgetown, Kansas, Ohio State, TexasGeorgetown, Kansas, and Ohio State are the 3 best teams in the country right now, and I think that Kansas is the best. They are so deep, clutch, and extremely talented. I take them over anybody in the country right now. Georgetown has an amazing 1, 2 punch and they are filled with shooters and role players. Ohio State has Greg Oden, Conley, and a great supporting cast. And then Texas has Durant....Anything with them is possible, and they play Kansas ridiculously close everytime they play them.

Of course hes probably not going to be that good in OT when hes been tired for 13+ minutes in a championship game.

    Re: What's your final four?

I went with Florida, Pittsburgh, Texas and Ohio State as my final four teams, with Ohio State and Florida meeting in the finals, and Florida winning it all again this year.I really wanted to pick this UNC team, but I have suspected from day one that they have issues when it comes to team ball sometimes. I witnessed it early in the season, and I witnessed a few times throughout the season. I think that will hurt them come this tournament, and I just do not see them getting past Texas.

    Re: What's your final four?

I don't think Carolina's problem is "team ball" at all. I could be mistaken but I think they were around the top of the conference in assists per game. Their transition game is the epitome of team ball.Their top two problems by far are lack of focus and their inability to put together 40 minutes of defense. It's hard to tell with this team. They could have one of their 8 minute lapses and allow a team to knock them out in the second round, or they could go all the way.
