I kind of think thats why he does it. His complaint, albeit excessively tiresome, is that people seem to pick and chose which source (etc) they agree with, based on whether or not they reinforced a preconceived notion of theirs.

I also think the whole act of "I'm more knowledgeable because I say this" has run it's course. Now it's almost a caricature, a parody of a real thought.

    lol?
Brand was a good defender & shot blocker during his time with the Clippers. Which was about 6 seasons.
Stop looking at basketball reference to make your judgement on a player.

I don't see how Swanigan is not our starting PF on opening night over Vonleh or Aminu... assuming no other trades are made

    Interesting:
    1. You say that rather than Love, you'd compare Biggie to Elton Brand
    2. Haak disputes that comparison based on Brand's superior defense/shot blocking
    3. You dismiss that dispute because the basis for the dispute is only applicable during his time with the Clippers
    4. So...you're saying that Biggie only compares well with a post-injury Brand? Not really the most flattering comparison.

    This is false information though.

    https://basketball.realgm.com/nba/s...A/0/Averages/All/trb/All/desc/1/Summer_League

9 players have averaged double doubles in SL, including Thomas Robinson.

I don't see how summer league could determine that.

At least 5. I didn't check the other ones, but the quote just seemed wrong. I just don't know where they got their information from. Dwight Howard also averaged 18 points 9.9 rebounds, so I guess he doesn't count, but it's not as impressive as it seems.

They just want something to be happy about. At least RealGM has stats available. It used to be hard to find SL stats. They even have advanced metrics. Pretty awesome.

As you've already said this three times, we'll take it as read that you think this from now on.

Yeah, it's pretty cool. Did you know Damian Lillard was the SL scoring avg leader until Donovan Mitchell this year?

    Summer League. It's big.

Don't discount seniority, knowing the system, and the fact that Aminu is our best defender. No harm in Swanigan being a featured scorer off the bench.

What a time to be alive for basketball stat junkies.

Hey, this is probably why we lost that game!

What exactly are you going for? I have yet to figure that out.

Yes, you can have people say both things - and they can both even be right. Imagine that.

It really depends on the player, how/why he looks good/bad, the expectations, his role, his age, his position, where he's at on his development curve, etc. The world is not black and white. There are an infinite number of shades of gray (way more than 50) in between.
