Odd that you call the person who was right from day 1 unreasonable

Pippen. No contest. It could be argued Pippen was the conductor of that team, despite the hindrance that was $amon Stoudamire, and was still a defensive force. Conversely, Melo would be a no defense ball stopper.

 

Even though I'll concede Melo is still a very good player and a star in the league, the thought of trading for Melo kind of depresses me.

My summer wish list: Paul George absolutely, yes, please, I'm begging you. Jimmy Butler yes, please. Kevin Love, sure. Carmelo Anthony...yeah, I guess if we have to....

 

Even unreasonable people are right sometimes. You weren't right about him being bad because he's a WABC, it's because of his mindset.

Cleveland players going somewhat public with being disgruntled with the FO might push them to trade Love for Melo, which we would facilitate and land Love. That's honestly the best case scenario for all three teams imo.... and then we should call DET and offer a pick, Vonleh, Aminu, and an expiring Connaughton for Tobias Harris. I dont think anyone on detroits roster is off limits for the right price. Last move would be adding Tony Allen for the MLE or whatever it is we have left. That would be my ideal reasonable offseason.

 

If Butters had darker skin and curlier hair, you'd have wanted him too.
