<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>With the Lakers down almost 30 points to the Mavericks in the third quarter on Sunday night, Lamar Odom gave his teammates some good news. With rehab going well, the Los Angeles forward said he is hoping to return from a shoulder injury on Thursday at Denver. Odom tore the labrum in his left shoulder in a game against Sacramento on March 2. He had surgery on the same shoulder two years ago and realizes he probably needs surgery again after this season. "The strength has come back a lot faster than last time," Odom told ESPN's Jim Gray courtside Odom was asked if he risked further injury by playing. "Maybe, but I'm going to roll the dice a little bit," Odom said. "As long as it's strong, I think I'll be all right."</div>http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/451...hursday_return/<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>There was other injury news of note. Surprisingly, none of it was bad for the Lakers.Ronny Turiaf returned Sunday after a two-game absence because of back problems and Luke Walton said he would play Thursday against Denver.Walton suited up for Sunday's game but did not play. He has missed 21 games because of a sprained right ankle and tendinitis in the ankle."This is the best it's felt since I got hurt," Walton said.</div>http://www.latimes.com/services/site/premi...tered.intercept
that is really a remarkable turnaround for someone who was just two weeks ago considered a possible candidate to miss the rest of the season.

I knew there was NO WAY Odoms injury looked that bad to be out for the SEASON...BSPN</div>Yeah, but then again did his last one look to be that bad? He was out over 20 games with it. Some devastating injuries can look to be minor. BTW, he has the same thing Kobe had in his shoulder in 2004. Most players find it harder to shoot and it affects their abilities. It didn't seem to hinder Kobe thohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tA02Rz6E7OAI know Lamar can't adapt his game as much as Kobe did, but let's hope Kobe can teach him a thing or two about playing with a messed up shooting shoulder.
Sucks that Lamar his left handed....Oh well he doesn't have to be the number 1 option. We just need him for rebounding and defence
