Can we trade them back the TPE for Lin? He makes $12 million. So, that works.

I doubt if he's Neil's first choice. If he was, we could have just done Crabbe for Nicholson + Lin. But, maybe if the other possible options (Danny Green, Eric Gordon, Courtney Lee, Jared Dudley, etc. ) fall through, maybe Lin could be a back up plan for using the TPE.

Good point. I'm not sure I understand the Crabbe piece for them. It really seems unclear what they are trying to do. It looks like they are racing toward mediocrity in the East as fast as they can.

Yep, it's weird that almost their entire roster is made up of guys between 6'5" and 6'8". The have the SG and SF spots covered, but really only have one true center (Mozgov) and one true PG (Lin).

Somebody commented yesterday that Sean Marks has done a good job rebuilding that roster without the benefit of their own lottery picks. Well, he has assembled some talent, but it's highly redundant and ridiculously susceptible to injury at the 1 and 5 spots. He clearly has a lot more work to do to balance out that roster.

It would make sense for sure. They need bigs, as Booker is their only PF and Mozgov and Allen are their only Cs.

We have a surplus of bigs and need a guard to replace Crabbe. They have a surplus of guards and need bigs. Makes a ton of sense.

So I'd trade out Davis and a future 2nd and use the TPE to take back Lin.

We'd save apx. $10M this year, and $16M the next when it's all said and done. Lin has the same defensive problems as Crabbe but he'd probably be a better option of the bench. Davis gets to play in a contract year which is better for him then not getting minutes here.

If we can use split the TPE I'd try to use the Davis and Lin trade to retain an apx. $6M TPE, then I'd try to work something out for O'Quinn.

 

They could REALLY use a guy like Meyers Leonard to help balance that roster. I don't even give a shit what they give us back (I'm cool with another TPE).

Shit... Give them Meyers, Turner and a future 1st for Lin and Carroll. Carroll replaces Crabbe, Lin replaces Turner, our salary situation gets much better going forward, and Brooklyn balances their team while getting younger.

I wonder if we could get O'Quinn just for getting NYK out of Lee's contract. Napier and Connaughton for Lee and O'Quinn??? They need a backup PG and I think they'd value Napier.

 

I can't believe people are advocating trading for Lin, aka The Asian Black Hole. He can accumulate stats, but at the expense of any semblance of team play.

 

If we had wanted Lin we probably could have taken him back for Crabbe.

Im Portland Trail Blazers fan first, but when Nurk joined the team, I looked for fan sites so I could see what the fans think of him etc, and I found this forum, so I decided to register

as I said when I joined the forum, our love for the national sports teams and its athletes is second to none, something unbelievable, so we ofc follow them when theyre playing, we like to see what fans od those teams think of them, and we like to see what theyre doing on social media, but the reason why Im posting Nurk pictures, tweets etc, is so you POR fans would know that, interested or not, I dont know, but given the responses, you like it

I watched like 90% of Teletovic and Nurk games in the NBA, and the earliest time their teams start playing is 1:00 AM, and the leatest is 4:30 AM, so our country stays up watching those guys play
