Gross, you think a player on this team is untouchable.

See, I can exaggerate like the computer too!

    Well, right back at you...

Jeremy Lin played for BRK. He had exactly one quality teammate to pass the ball to.

And come on now, Lillard and McCollum had Allen Crabbe, 2nd best 3-point shooter in the league to pass to!

Fair enough, but it was actually 36 games and Lin averaged 1.5 more assists per game in 24 minutes than C.J. did in 35 minutes and only 0.8 fewer assists than Dame did in 36 minutes.

Lin is actually somewhere down around 8th or 10th on my list of targets for using our TPE. So, he's like my Plan H, if A through G fall through. I was just pointing out that calling him a black hole isn't really accurate.

We don't deserve him after the shit we've pulled last summer.
    Lebron needs to eat too.

    Sigh...

Knicks are in rebuilding mode, they don't need to pay Lee all that money for 3 years. They get younger players, they make room for future Free Agents.

Lebron wants another ballhandler, you think it's stupid, but he doesn't and he holds the Cavs hostage until next summer.

Portland gets 10 Million off in 2 years and has a chance to trade Lee for an expiring contract if\when there's an opportunity.

by percentage only, and those two are score first mentality players with nothing else around them is my point. Lin is a score first player too, I think, definitely most effective with the ball in his hands creating offense, but when it comes to complimentary players I would take Trevor Booker and Brook Lopez over anyone we had before Nurk (RHJ is gunna be a decent roll player in the league too). I think it's a credit to Dame and Cj that we have done as well as we have, they are special players and with some nice complimentary players around them could win 55+ games a season. We did not have that the last two years (still dont really). Plumlee is the only one who was really worth anything outside of harkless, and as much as I like those guys they are nothin to write home about.

Rofl.... So you say Turner is an albatross contract, and want cap relief.
Except you came up with a scenario where Portland takes back MORE salary.
Regardless if you think it's easier to trade or not.
There are people who disagree with you on thinking Turner's contract is the albatross you so desperately want others to believe.
If you can't accept that.. Then not sure what to tell you.
I can accept that people believe Turner's contract to be untrade-able. Just like I could accept that people believed Crabbe's contract is untrade-able

Hope crabbe has a great year playing for Port... omg the Brooklyn?

Turner and LBJ occupy the same space on the floor.
They are the same player, except LBJ is a MUCH better player across the board and it's not close.
If you really think LBJ means by another ball handler a lesser version of him otherwise he'll hold the Cavs hostage. Then LOL @ you.
Drose, Turner, LBJ... Splash brothers aint got nothing on these 3.

The Knicks are in rebuilding mode, but giving up a quality 3 and d player like Lee is nonsense if they don't get anything in return. He still has a couple years left on his contract... His value isn't going to change much unless he has a career ending injury.
In your scenario they would give up a young player + quality 3 and d player for D-league trash and cap space. Oh right cap space... Such an incentive for Free agents... Who was the last big name star free agent to sign with the Knicks? Amare Stoudemire.

Again, none of the 3 teams in your trade would accept it...
I tried to go with a short answer, when you so subtly mocked me for not providing arguments.
Now I return the favor.. with the mocking.. I however an not being subtle.

Like I said, he can accumulate stats. His teammates suffer when he's on the floor. Houston was a significantly worse team against us in the playoffs because of him. Lin scores and gets a modest number of assists, simply because the ball is in his hands at all times, but the offense becomes easy to hold in check.

Lin on the Blazers would be less popular than Crawford.

Well, BRK was 2.8 points per 48 better last season when he was on the court than when he wasn't.

Maybe the problem in HOU was his coach and their system...

The guy would be a back up PG, not a starter for us. Like I said, he's like 10th on my TPE wish list. I'm not losing any sleep over it one way, or the other.

Same here. I think he will really come through this season. He knows the plays now. He's not injured. Just an added plus- his quotes are hilarious. Our media has really been screwing the pooch, by not quoting him more....

I'd be quite happy with Lin as our backup point guard. He'd be the best backup PG we've had in a long time.
