I didn't get along with PapaG because of his propensity to constantly bring up the past in arguments that had no relevance whatsoever. So I'm not surprised that this would remind you of PapaG, because you're doing the same thing right now.
Let me give you an example of an interaction with PapaG: Me: *argument about something Blazers related* PapaG: You were a shitty writer! ~End Scene~ But hey, I guess if you want to admire the dude, be my guest. I put up with his shit for YEARS. I never banned him for my interactions with him. I'm not afraid to argue with someone. I didn't abuse my mod powers when I was a mod. The only time I used my banning privileges were from interactions that did not involve me.
And Marazul has successfully shifted the argument away from the topic and made it about me. This is the kind of shit that annoys the hell out of me. If you want to attack my opinions, be my guest. If you don't care for the way that I debate, tough shit. I don't care. Feel free not to debate me if it bothers you.
Okay, now that was funny. And, hell no. I am not basing my beliefs upon you. At my age I have known a lot of people that now identify other that their given sex. I served with guys that were gay, good soldiers, they did their job, nobody cared. Special flower or could not cut it, they were removed. Frankly, I can not think of one trans person that I have ever met, that when they came out, were not an emotional mess. It has to be hard, as you have stated before. I feel zero condemnation, it only makes me feel more fortunate that for all I have been through, that is something I have never had to question.
You have been dancing and dodging and weaving all through this thread. Answering questions with questions. Not responding when I address your point. So when I see someone who clearly doesn't care about debating the topic, and just wants to stick to their close-minded point of view, I'm going to call it like I see it. I see someone who is stuck in the past. Plain and simple. Keep dancing though.
Oh Apropos of nothing... I think people who don't write clear paragraphs making smartass comments to people who misunderstood them are just terrible people. As to you, that isn't what you said. Which would be a stupid comment anyway unless trans soldiers are less prone to suffer PTSD.
If you read it correctly it says the generals downing boner pills and suffering PTSD is their problem. You could make the case that it includes the generals and the non trans soldiers as one group. Take out the blue part.
*edits original post* Fake news! It's a witch hunt! Wringing their hands about trans soldiers is their problem.
Hold on now, are you saying the you are terrible for posting here, or that you are made aware of being terrible by posting here? lol
Someone linked something that said 45 percent of them already tried suicide. Would they be less likely to kill themselves if no barrier like this existed legally or via public reaction to them? That's a tough question to phrase properly? That one study I read said discrimination and harassment from others was their worst symptom.
Trans people who are shown support by family members have a suicide rate comparable to the rest of society. It's when they are shunned that the rate skyrockets.
