Lin is probably their best player. But no one on that team can command a double-team so Crabbe will get a lot of kick-outs which he'll turn into passes to other players when he finds a defender in his face.

"His own thing" is letting better players draw defenses and get him open shots. It's not something that allows him to step on other people's toes, even if he wanted to. If he had the ability to take over offensively, he'd have shown it in reserve-heavy lineups that desperately needed more scoring.

Yeah, I get ya. AC will do ok in the East. I really can not see how he have an easier time on a team where he will garner far more attention than his time in PDX. Where he may have an advantage is in the lack of talent

Why aren't people getting this? His skillset sucks for that team.

This is how weak BRK's rebounding will be for their proposed starting line up:

    Center: Mosgove 2016-17 TRB% = 13.3
    Power Forward: Carroll 2016-17 TRB% = 8.3
    Small Forward: Crabbe 2016-17 TRB% = 5.6
    Shooting Guard: Russell 2016-17 TRB% = 6.7
    Point Guard: Lin 2016-17 TRB% = 8.1
    Total 2016-16 TRB% = 42.0

Compare that to our starting line up:

    Center: Nurkic 2016-17 TRB% = 19.7
    Power Forward: Vonleh 2016-17 TRB% = 17.0
    Small Forward: Harkless 2016-17 TRB% = 8.5
    Shooting Guard: McCollum 2016-17 TRB% = 5.7
    Point Guard: Lillard 2016-17 TRB% = 7.6
    Total 2016-16 TRB% = 58.5

Obviously, some of their guys will need to step up but they are asking guys who are historically weak rebounders to play up one position, and that does not bode well for their team rebounding.

Lin is basically their only good rebounder for his position. I had no idea that Mozgov was such a weak rebounder.

I would like to see the same analysis of the defensive metrics. I think Crabbe will get 20 pts/game, but probably 1asst and 4reb and a defensive rating of 115.

This isnt just to you reep but to all the posters who think AC is going to markedly improve on a roster with less talent. I dont mean to be an asshole, seriously asking what makes people think that AC will score 20ppg? Personally, I did not see one single thing in his entire time here that made me say: "you know what, AC gets buckets" . Kid can shoot it pretty well when he's open I'll give him credit for that, but if you can't create chances to score for yourself, how in the hell are you gunna get up enough shots to score 20ppg? I dont get what you guys are seeing. He was assisted on something like 95% of his shots here, showed no ability to finish around the rim or break people down off the dribble. What makes you think he is somehow going to get more looks now when he cant manufacture them for himself, and the guys around him cant or wont put him in positions to get the same ones he got here?

I think he will score more because he will be a starter, get more minutes, and be expected to be one of the primary scorers on the team. I also think his eFG% will go way down and he will contribute nothing else and the team will suck.

I think he'll score more due to more minutes, but he averages about 14 points per-36. I can maybe talk myself into believing that being a starter will give him confidence to hoist a couple more shots per game that he didn't in Portland, but I'd be surprised to see him bridge that ~6 point gap.

It'll be interesting to see, anyway.

Everything I said in my post was true and easily verifiable, but Crabbe fanbois can't handle the truth:

I think this is a good point. A couple more shots is reasonable, but also more turnovers and a lower % are also likely.

I thought that was the point of this board . . . therapy. So, all he was saying was "you should continue reading and posting on this board."

Better rebouder than Carroll, but at 6'7" can he really defend power forwards. I know defense is his strength, but that's based on guarding perimeter players.
