<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Bucks center Andrew Bogut apologized Tuesday for getting "caught up in the heat of the moment" and making an obscene gesture toward the home crowd while leaving the court.Bogut may face disciplinary action from the NBA for the outburst, which came near the end of Milwaukee's 108-93 loss to Toronto on Monday night.Bogut, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2005 draft, was ejected after committing a flagrant foul against Toronto's Chris Bosh with 49 seconds remaining. Milwaukee television station WTMJ showed video footage of Bogut making a gesture toward the grandstands as he left the court.Bogut did not talk to reporters after the game but issued a statement apologizing to fans for his action early Tuesday afternoon."Our fans have been very supportive of me since I came to Milwaukee and they certainly didn't deserve my reaction coming off the court," Bogut said. "I got caught up in the heat of the moment and let my emotions get the best of me."Bogut also apologized to his teammates, coaches, organization and the league."My reaction reflected poorly on all of them, which would never be my intent," he said.Bucks general manager Larry Harris said the incident was "out of character" for Bogut."Our organization does not condone such actions by our players and we apologize for it," Harris said in a statement. "We have been in communication with the league and they are reviewing the incident."League officials have not yet disciplined Bogut for his actions, but there is a precedent for punishment."We're aware of it," NBA vice president of basketball communications Tim Frank said. "We're reviewing it."In January, the league fined Atlanta Hawks forward Josh Smith $25,000 for making an obscene gesture to the crowd after being ejected from a game against the Charlotte Bobcats.Smith raised both middle fingers as he was about halfway through the tunnel, apparently reacting to two technical fouls and being heckled by fans.</div>
Bogut's a f*cking tool..why did this clown go #1? He's so soft and lowers himself to flippin his fans off?

Idiotic move on Bogut's part, I don't care how heated you are, you're flipping of fans who pay good money to come see you play. It's horrible.
They could've had Chris Paul, Deron Williams or Raymond Felton..I know they needed a big man but couldn't they have traded for one or something? I think the way the Bucks play it would be a lot better with a top notch PG like Paul, Williams or Felton than a soft, average big man like BogutI don't like Bogut at all and don't think he deserves to be the #1 pick..period
The question is, did he give the single deuce or the double deuce? If he gave the single deuce, he should get a $12500 fine!
Well when they drafted Bogut they were filling a need, and keep in mind at the moment they had both Ford and Williams at the PG position so there really was no need to draft Paul. However I agree that Bogut hasnt really shown that 1st overall potential, he'll be good and can contribute towards a team but I dont think he'll be anything like previous and future 1st overall picks.
^ Good points about the PG position, I would've mentioned that if you didn't.I do think he's a decent player but yes he's pretty stupid. Doing this to any crowd is dumb, but to your home crowd? He'll definitely be pretty unpopular now..The push on Bosh was stupid too. Game was over, definitely didn't go for the ball. He was just angry about Bosh schooling him all night.
Bogut gave our fans the double birdie.... All these people bashing the pick of Bogut in 2005 are idiots that know nothing about my team.

I don't blame Milwaukee at all for getting him, it's also only his 2nd season. He's putting up decent numbers and seems to be improving. I haven't seen him play that much but this kid still has a future ahead of him.

Why the hell would we draft Chris Paul when we had TJ Ford and Maurice Williams? And you know damn well that in the NBA you can't trade for good big men unless you give up a big man. You don't pass on a legit 7'0" center for PG when you, dee-dee-dee already have 2 good PG's. Andrew Bogut would probably have gone first in the draft last season. Everyone in 2005 thought it was the obvious pick and a very solid pick. You can't look back and go, 'well your stupid for not picking Paul'. Andrew Bogut was a very, very good prospect in 2005, he would have been a top 2 pick with most teams. He has yet to live up to #1 pick hype? What #1 hype? He never had any hype, nor has Bargnani.
hahah...this is hilarious. I wish I could have seen it or at least a picture of it. I just couldnt see Bogut doing something like this....hahaha
