This is the thread for players who deserve some recognition or respect for their efforts on the basketball court. They can be players at any level - from high school to NBA. Two already had threads devoted to them - Tyson Chandler (by Ballaholic) and Andre Iguodala (by BCB).Continue the list...
Rajon Rondo, the guys a straight up baller, 75% of what he does doesn't show up in the boxscore, I love that guy, probably my favorite NBA player. I believe in Rondoism.

The commercial says "Welcome to Rondoism." I love it.If you guys don't know much about Rondo, and just roll your eyes to what Celtic fans have been gushing over on forums for this entire season... trust me, he's for real. I'm not a homer, I'm a realist, and I will confidently tell you that this kid is legit. He's not a Marcus Banks type player that shows flashes but never pans out, Rondo has taken over the point guard position already. I remember in preseason, in a thread, I said "Rondo is the best point guard in Boston," and somebody said "no way." I'm saying yes way.

I said he was the best PG in this draft and everyone laughed at me.
Yup, it's true. I believe you guys - Rondo is for real.Another guy who deserves some recognition is LaMarcus Aldridge - averaging 8.1 ppg 4.6 rpg 1.1 bpg on 49% shooting. Recentley he had a game where he had 30 points in 29 minutes and another game where he had 17 rebounds and 4 blocks. The guy is a bright spot on a rebuilding team.

At least, on this board, from what I've seen nobody was really saying Rondo sucks. Although legendary Boston Globe writer was absolutely RIPPING Danny Ainge after draft night. He called him something along the lines of an 8th grade AAU player. I think Rondo definately deserves some recognition as well as Deron Williams. He has been having a flat out nasty season. Everyone gives Chris Paul all the props in the world but I rarely hear people talk about how good Deron is doing. He's putting up the same numbers on a better basketball team.
Stephon Marbury.people still say F*ck to him because of his retarded quotes, choking, and cancer. This year has stepped up. Man to man D has improved greatly. He is taking over games in the 4th quarter, really starting to find his shooting stroke back and is doing a great job feeding the ball to Curry.
I give props to C-Webb. Dude has just straight up been playing like his old self now that he is with a contender and happy! Its just amazing how it seems like he has gotten less selfish since the trade! He is now a pass first player for the pistons which is what he should of been in philly

He is a hell of a defender, works his ass of 100 percent of the time, doesn't settle for jumpshots (because he cant shoot them but still), and is a true PG. He is going to be a hell of a player in a couple years.

I said he was the best PG in this draft and everyone laughed at me.</div>About 2 weeks before that crazy Kentucky/Michigan State game, when Patrick Sparks hit that crazy three at the top of the key, that's when I've been a Rondo fan.I saw him play against Cincinatti and JASON MAXIELL, and I instantly became a fan, with Chuck Hayes, Kelenna Azubuke, Randolph Morris...Who needs some recognition? Maxiell. He's quietly having a straight up killer season replacing Big Ben as the man doing the dirty work down low. Recognize.Non-Pistons? Before All-Star weekend, Jason Kapono was going unnoticed. But now he's out for a while. Luol Deng is putting up some pretty stats this season.
Another player that deserves some recognition is Linas Kleiza of the Nuggets. Linas who? Linas Kleiza. He's scored 20+ pts in two games this week including 29 pts in a win over the Lakers on Thursday night. He did exceptionally well guarding Kobe and even though Kobe scored over 25, Kleiza got a hand in his face everytime and caused Kobe to take some tough shots. The most impressive thing that Kleiza has done is that when he first came into the league he was known as an undersized PF, but he has made a transition and is now and athletic, and big shooting guard who causes a mismatch every game because of his size and his ability to shoot from the outside.
Leonardo Barbosa. The man is on fire every night he gets some playing time.Have yall notice it?He scored 32 against HOU I think. But dam he is a good player that dosen't get some recognition or respect that he deserves
Mikki Moore. The guy has been fantastic despite the Nets horrible season. he hustles, plays with energy, hits open jumpers, and just gets after it.

Stephon Marbury:The Evidence - His shoe. :worthy: Deron Williams:The Evidence - His skills in every area of basketball that is important. A formidable passer (one of the best right now) and a good scorer. Along with his age = Baller.
