<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>ProFootballTalk.com has been reporting all week that the deal, rumored to include Green Bay backup quarterback Aaron Rodgers heading to Oakland, is close to consummation. Today, the Boston Herald reports the deal as imminent and that the Packers could introduce Moss as early as Friday. The Herald backs up what ProFootballTalk has been reporting for several days -- that Packers quarterback Brett Favre is helping orchestrate the deal and has been talking to the Raiders' cranky receiver through the process.Packers fans have had mixed reactions to news of the trade. You'll remember that Moss famously "mooned" the Lambeau faithful after scoring a touchdown in a 2005 playoff game.</div>Haha I wonder how BCB feels about this. He moons the crowd in Green Bay and now he may be playing for them. Will you Packers fans be applauding a guy who once mooned you? Might have to pucker up and get ready for some ass kissing.

To me, it looks like the Packers are gonna get this deal done. Its crazy, if they do they are gonna have two deadly Wide outs. Driver/Moss, thats pretty damn good. Look out thats all I can say.

I agree CavsRules....also Favre loves gunning the ball, I could see him and Moss connecting on some deep routes. That was one great thing Culpepper could do with Moss, just fire the ball up and let him catch it. Favre can do that. I just don't know how the fans will accept Moss in GB if they do infact get him.

Hah, well good luck with him. In my opinion it's basically a coin flip if he'll actually try and play good for them. I heard a report he demanded the Raiders to trade him to us, but thankfully we're not as interested as the Packers I guess. Anyways, Aaron Rodgers hasn't looked too great, but is it already time to give up on him and for Randy Moss?

Bring him on in and lets see if he can bring us to a super bowl, or the playoffs. I also think he is ruining the rest of his career he has left with the Raiders. Their team is looking to go a new way and Moss being there isn't any help. Moss is great, of course but he isn't happy. He wants to win, the Packers are a team that will for sure win with Moss and Driver. Thats just sick and I wish I was a Green Bay fan right about now. [IMG]

Good, get Moss out of here. He may be our best offensive player but the guy is nothing but a cancer and if we can get a better quarterback for him than I like it.

LakersFan, it's an ideal situation for the Raiders.Trade Moss for Rogers...draft Calvin Johnson??? It's like a 2 for 1. You pull this trigger if you're AL Davis. It's about time the raaaaaaidez get back into the swing of things.

If they pull this trade off, the whole mock draft changes. They will most likely draft CJ with the #1 pick, and that means Russell will most likely fall to the Lions or Cleveland. I don't want Russell, I want Peterson for my Brownies. But Yeah, Russell is a beast.

Come to think of it, this trade is pointless for both teams. [IMG] If I was the Raiders, I'd rather have another draft pick in return. Why take in Aaron Rodgers who's on the verge of bust and hasn't shown really anything in the NFL when you have an opportunity to draft and groom a fresh young QB like JaMarcus Russell with bigtime potential.

If I were them I would do this trade. Even though Russell is right there and looks to be an amazing pick, picking CJ isn't a bad deal at all. Like I said, it shakes up the whole draft board.

If the Raiders get Moss, then it is just one more wide receiver that won't do anything. If the Raiders want to get anything going, then they will need to get an offensive line.

    Re: Moss to Packers?!

I also think this is a great deal forGB....Favre can throw the deep ball farther and better than anyone in the league! have Favre throw it up and Moss go get it! Those two could win the Nfc North bythemselves, their only competition is the bears and they have a terrible QB, a nonproven RB, and a terrible secondary besides Nathan Vasher! If im the GM for the Packers I make this deal now! Rogers hasnt proven one thing at all....if he would of proven something then the packers would of benched favre last year....If im the packers I do this to get moss and draft either a RB or a QB.

if the raiders trade moss im going to feel so bad for whoever gets drafted there.... luckily their defense isnt half bad because, their offense wont score ne points! It is seriously full of overpaid 2nd string players, old players, and draft busts!

    Re: Moss to Packers?!

I'm going to be furious if we trade for Randy Moss. Moss is 30 years old, this team is rebuilding, Moss is not a guy that we need or a guy thats a good influence, if we trade Aaron Rodgers we don't have a QB for when Favre leaves...Good freaking god I hope Packers management isn't this stupid. From listening to Packers radio/papers fans are against the move 75/100...that 25% is largely stupid fans. If he ends up in Green Bay I just hope for the best, I just don't understand the move considering how young are team is and with how low are expectations are....if this Packers team was a 10-6 type team then I would understand it.Green Bay officials shot down a Boston Herald report Thursday that said the Packers were on the verge of acquiring Raiders receiver Randy Moss in a trade for backup quarterback Aaron Rodgers and other considerations.-- Boston Herald

    Re: Moss to Packers?!

Al Davis isn't going to do anything unless he can get ATLEAST a 2nd rounder and a player.Expect Moss in the Silver and Black this year, unless a team gets desperate around draft time and throws that 2nd rounder, or maybe even a 1st out there to get Moss.I want to see him retire as a Raider honestly. Yeah you can call him a Cancer, but he's not TO like. He's only a cancer when his team isn't winning. And there's no way we can be as bad as last year. Lane Kiffin has done all the right things and brought in a hell of a staff. We signed Dominic Rhodes, giving us a solid running game that was horrible last year with Rhodes and Jordan. Not to mention a surging Justin Fargas. We also grabbed Atlanta's FB Justin Griffith. We got the Falcons O-line coach and their Offensive coordinator in Greg Knapp and Tom Cable. So there's now way our oline and running game will be as bad as last year.JaMarcus Russell is our pick. Yes Calvin is a beast and yes AP will probably be a top 3 back here in a couple of years, but Russell can bring this team back to the top with Moss, Porter, Curry and the rest of this revamped offense.I expect 6 wins in 2007. Another top draft pick and this team could maybe see the playoffs in 08.
