It seems they rarely do. McCain does but I sure don't consider him a conservative. Trump does, usually after kicking some butt, but he isn't a conservative. He is just the winner of the last election.
MarAzul, my man. Take some very cheep advice and shit can the idea that the Choice program is going to be of any benefit. I am still waiting for them to call me. Do pass go, head into you local VA and get you stuff taken care of.
I think your right. It is scheduled in Eugene for October. I thought I would give the Choice program a chance to beat it. So far, nothing.
See, this is what cracks me up. The guys that want it "Free" A) Have not earned it. B) Have no concept that free equals poor quality.
Well I sort of feel an obligation to help keep them informed of the great shit they seem like and vote to have. I had great healthcare insurance but Obama offered my provider a free pass if they quit providing the insurance, well even worse, tax them if they don't quit. The idea here was to get guys like me buying insurance so that we could help sweeten the pot for the insurance companies to cover the then uninsured. It didn't raise any revenue, it sort of is like taxing cigarettes to get people to quit. They did and it was legal, we had no grounds to sue. So I bought the damn insurance but the insurance company dropped me out after the first year. They don't want to do my county. Moda, ever hear of them? So then, after the next year I began to look for another insurance company. Found one. Guess what, could not find a Doctor that would take Medicare and was in plan with this insurance company. Fuck it! I will just rely on the VA, it is pretty much like what all this guys want. Right! Thought I should let them know about the realities.
I would. But you kind a need to know which er to go to for what ails you. They don't cover all the bases in all places. It is not run to care for people you know. It is run to for efficiencies. An then sometime not even that, they seem to have difficulty getting all types of Doctors.
Gotta side with Marz on this. The VA sucks. What we were sold when we enlisted all those years ago and what we can expect now as veterans are two very different things. Just another fine example of our government at work....,,,
I should be more clear. What you need to do is hit up Eugene VA and sit in their ER. I get that all services must be pre approved to be covered by the choice program.
Did you read any of the posts on this subject? Free and on a waiting list is government run healthcare you know. But then it is not Free exactly. Most Vets pay I think, depending on there classification. As a class 3 Vet, it is free for us and 1s and 2s.
I am not speaking of Veterans Choice. I mean the VA er in the hospitals are not all the same. For instanst, Roseburg does not have a Cardiologist available at this time. So you best know you have to go to Eugene's er. It changes from month to month, or day to day.
Thanks for jumping in on this. I do think everyone should get to know what the heck they are wanting and how it will work. Seems to me the track record is there to see. Wanting more of this is folly.
Yeah, I agree. It is hard to keep up with the running changes. You may consider heading up to PDX. They have some of the best specialists in the country there. Being tied into the OHSU school, they maintain very high standards. Unlike most other facilities that can not retain Doctors.
