    Hello darkness, my old friend
Former Senator Judd Gregg of New Hampshire, a Republican who is close to Mr. McConnell, said frustration with Mr. Trump was boiling over in the chamber. Mr. Gregg blamed the president for undermining congressional leaders, and said the House and Senate would have to govern on their own if Mr. Trump “can’t participate constructively.”

I guess McConnell's friend is also lying. The other possibility is that this is what he's being told by McConnell (whom Denny assures us has an amazing and positive relationship with Trump), since he's not there himself. So many people lying just to damage Denny's narrative. It's like there's a leftist conspiracy, that the right is a part of, against Denny.

Gregg didn't say McConnell is upset.

I think Trump wants them to "govern on their own" and pass legislation.

No, they clearly have a great relationship if frustration with Trump is boiling over and the feeling is that Trump can't participate constructively. I completely agree.

McConnell said he's been working with and talking to the president, and NYTimes says they haven't talked in weeks. None of your nonsense changes that NYTimes is flat out wrong, or lying outright.

If you want to change MY narrative to something else, it's no longer mine, but a silly figment of your imagination.

This is going to be fun the next time(s) you don't take what a politician says at 100% face value. Why do you keep saying and doing silly things that you know will haunt you forever?

How do you know McConnell isn't the one lying? Seriously? Do you like his narrative better and therefore it is the truth? Just askin'........

Why wouldn't he just say, "no comment" or nothing at all?

I like his narrative because it's from a named source, one of the two principles, and not some unnamed NYTimes source.

Because "no comment" or keeping mum only adds fuel to the fire. His fellow Kentuckians (along with other right wing voters) have made it pretty damn clear they are more supportive of Trump than they are of him. It's in his best interests to appear to be in lockstep with Trump. He has every reason to lie, if indeed his relationship with Trump is in a shitty place. Just because it came out of his mouth doesn't necessarily make it so. I like the NYT source because it fits MY narrative. See what I did there?

Denny knows that McConnell will present a unified public stance until he chooses to break publicly from Trump, regardless of his personal feelings. He's just arguing to argue.

If he's angry, he's angry. He gets to play the high road by saying no comment.

Sure, you can have any narrative you want. But it's only going to convince people willing to be deluded by nothing reflecting the Truth.

You got the lingo wrong. You're supposed to say, "Now YOU are fake news."

First Sly gets millennial terminology wrong, now you get Trump terminology wrong. You guys are turning me into a full-time coach.

Denny's continuous pro Trump posts reminds me of someone who works for the Cheetos administration.

Mitch McConnell disputes Trump feud claim: 'We are working together'

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Wednesday disputed a report that he's no longer talking to President Trump, saying sources for that story are out of the loop.

"The President and I, and our teams, have been and continue to be in regular contact about our shared goals," McConnell said in a statement. "We are working together to develop tax reform and infrastructure legislation so we can grow the economy and create jobs; to prevent a government default; to fund the government so we can advance our priorities in the short and long terms; to pass the defense authorization and defense appropriations bills so we can support our troops and help implement an effective strategy against ISIL; to provide relief from Obamacare; and to continue our progress for our nation's veterans."

    ...

McConnell, R-Ky., did not address the claim about the call in his statement.

"We have a lot of work ahead of us, and we are committed to advancing our shared agenda together and anyone who suggests otherwise is clearly not part of the conversation," McConnell said.

    Good for you.

I don't see why he'd go to the extreme he did in refuting the Times.
