Lamar Odom: "Kobe Bryant is the best player in the world" just moments ago. They interviewed Smush too and he was pretty much in shock and seemed alot happier about it then he did with the 81.
That was the most desire and determination I've ever seen a player have to get a W. We talk about superstars willing their teams to victories and not letting their teams lose, this was the epitome of that. Haha, at the beginning of the game, "Kobe's due for a good game tonight, I expect to see something tonight." Boy was I right. And my dad midway thru the third, "Kobe's gonna have to score 60 for the Lakers to win the game tonight."

The only 2 MVP candidates played a couple days ago in the best game of the season. The guy that'll win it lost, but he will get the award, deservedly.

Dirk is having an amazing year, and his team is great. But Dirk couldnt do what Kobe did tonight. He cant take over a game and single handedly lead his team to victory like Kobe did. actually...we all saw Wade do it last year in game 5 of the NBA Finals....if you meant Wade couldnt take over a game single-handedly
Kobe will not get MVP okayit's a fact he won't unless the lakers go on a great run towards the end of the season in which I doubt they will do that extremly well, winning players and teams are more likley to get awards eg. dirk, nash, duncan. sorry kobe .. just wait till you get a better supporting cast.
