I'll say one thing for Jmo, had a bad 1st inning but sacked up following with 3 good innings. His team mates di little to help out. With Shreve in there it looks like this game is in "white flag" status, not the mark of a winner. The irony would be the Yankees facing the Twins at the Stadium in the one & done game and losing to Ervin Santana 1-0 because Chappie gave up the GWRBI in the top of the ninth. All the alleged talent on this team may be for naught.

Sure could have used that bomb in game 1 or earlier in game two. No worry though Caleb and Chasen made damn sure the Yankees found a way to lose. Swept by a competitor in your own yard with another big series coming up, absolutely unacceptable.
...I couldn't give 2 shits about Bird hitting a meaningless HR in a game that was already out of reach, sorry...we lost, and got embarrassed in a 3 game sweep in our own yard. ...unless we can somehow sweep Boston this team is officially screwed.
Old '63 song by the Exxex "Easier Said Than Done" If the Yankees get a split they'll have won the season series, small consolation. A sweep is not impossible but highly improbable. This team is no where close to that '78 Unit the did the Boston Massacre in Fenway Park. Funny how things can slip but for some reason I was checking the 2007 ALDS. That year in regular season the Yankees were 6-0 against Cleveland but got waxed in the ALDS. I'd say the Division will probably be out of reach by Monday if not already so. Wild Card may be the only playoff entry for this team. Really sucks!
