Seriously. I know a guy who'll never have anything close to the money Lawson has been gifted. He goes out and drinks most weekends. And he calls a fucking cab every time. Even if Lawson can't control his alcohol choices, he can control whether he drives or calls a cab. He's an asshole.
I work in the alcohol business. Last couple jobs were in wineries and current one is doing lab chemistry analysis on wine, distilled product, beer and ciders. I am lucky to be someone who can't be an alcoholic which is how I know it must be terrible for those with the addiction. I am around alcohol all the time, and I love it, especially wine. But I don't almost ever want a third glass, and usually don't even want a second. There is no pull. However, I used to be addicted to cigarettes. I smoked from 14 to 37 and during that time managed to quit a few times, but had to get back to it. Now I've been done smoking for 6 years and i don't even want one almost ever. Usually, they repulse me. However, every once in a blue moon I get a hankering to smoke. I will never take another drag because that scares the shit out of me. If I were that way with alcohol, it would be terrible too. But I hope that I wouldn't ever drive drunk regardless. I know that I uber every time I drink more than a glass or two. I have left my car several times and dealt with it the next day.
