Plus, this is actually a case where size doesn't really matter. Andrew killed 65 people. Harvey has killed 63 so far, with more expected to be found under water. Andrew caused 24 billion in damage. Harvey is expected to soar past 100 billion
As a semi-permanent Tampa resident now (though on the North Side, a bit removed from the South Tampa floodplain), this bears watching. Tampa famously hasn't been hit by a hurrican in 96 years...directly. Though I was living downtown for the Republican National Convention Storm in 2012 , and while that petered out pretty quickly there was some decent flooding around the area. If this really is going to be a CAT 5, it's not worth braving out. Not with a baby and a mom's house in PHX with lots of room...

What the hell! Hurricanes.....forest fires....... the end is near! Where is that thread about stocking up on supplies!!??
Fires, droughts, hurricanes, floods and MFs wanna point to a book written by men who had no fucking clue of how to even perceive the world around them. Scientists who study and test facts in controlled environments to get information are told by politicians that what they've proven is a hoax. Why are humans so monumentally smart and so idiotically stupid at the same fucking time?
I would point out that "life" is not spelled "t-r-a-v-e-l", but I'm not supposed to joke about disasters, so I won't say anything about that. barfo
