It could be 30 years before it looks like it did last week. That makes me profoundly sad, that I might not live long enough to see it like I saw it last month.
Sounds like this is headed west and north. Both the lodge and the surrounding forest are in danger of burning.
This shit is honestly sad. Some of the best trails over there, wildlife, ecosystems just being fucked. Because some humans decided to fuck it up. Go figure. We always find a way
It's pretty fucked up. That Eagle Creek trail is one of my favorites. I am much more upset because it was caused by a dumbass Human. The one close to my place here in southern Oregon was at least caused by nature. Not much you can do about that. Although it is burning up my favorite childhood swimming hole. That hurts......
Stupid fucking kids. Kids seem to be getting dumber and dumber. Good for the older generations job security, bad for its life security.
Crown point, angels rest, oneonta, etc. of course multnomah falls. That's my childhood man. That's a lot of summer trips I took just to experience these trails over and over again and now ruined. It's sad really
Im glad I didn't know that before I went to bed, or saw the photo that cippy posted. This is ruining the gorge for generations.

More people stay inside instead of lighting off firecrackers, and wetter weather leads to more grass what ends up fueling fires.
Meh. Not getting nervous yet in my neighborhood in Troutdale. More nervous because Asthma was already a bitch before all this ash in my air.
Whether you agree that humans are causing it or not, I don't see how people can deny that our climate is changing.
