    I'll put this here to keep this thread going. Hope I don't offend anybody with this post. Some might think I'm bragging about my job.

    Last night got to be a part of nice pick up game with some damn good players. Good friend of mine I grew up with trains with players during the offseason and sets up runs for the guys. Last night Bazz and Jake Layman were there, Dame, Steve Blake. Ducks PG Pritchard, and a hand full of Pac-12 players and guys playing in Europe. Gym was hot as hell but there was some quality games going on out there. They didn't have enough to play, so I was asked to join. I lasted 2 games and then got yelled at by Dame, "Big John, get your old ass off the court!" Threw a couple dimes out there Sabonis style and that was it. I think my man scored all 11 points for the other team.
    Felt damn good watching basketball again. The season is upon us FAMS! #BasketballOverEverything

    I've been sayin this for a while now, the closer we get to training camp the more likely Melo opts for another team other than Houston (aka Portland).

    dude, just put HCP on ignore and move on....just because there's a loud drunk at the end of the bar doesn't mean you can't kick back with some good folks and enjoy the show.......HCP gave me the rookie hazing first time I posted here....I hazed him back and he liked my post..he's like Triumph the insult comic dog on Conan O'Brien.....now you missed out on getting grilled by Papa G....that guy took himself way to seriously.....you've made your point about hazing here...IGNORE BUTTON....it works like a charm. Everybody understands the points you're making and in the end, HCP will still be HCP....causing panic like Don Rickles....who also in real life was supposedly a really nice guy.

    None of this is directed at you @riverman. I'm just using your post because you referenced PapaG.

    Here's the thing with HCP. The guy laughs at us, and with us. Papa G just yelled at us.

    HCP gives, but he also gets. Not just from a few people, but people who he honestly considers friends or people he respects and likes.

    Think about it, all the jokes about his wife and his response isn't to make it personal? That alone should clue people in that he's not being serious when he talks about "rookies" etc. If he seriously was that anal about how many posts you have to have to be able to post, do you honestly think he'd let the cracks about his wife and himself (lawn mowing, unable to spell or figure out what certain words mean) go?

    I think we get it. He rubbed you the wrong way. But realize that he doesn't actually mean most of what he says on here. Talk to him in person/PM's, and you'll see he's always joking. He's not a bully, he's not mean, he's a goof.

    The more you guys whine about it, or whine about how there's a double standard or whine about a bunch of other shit about him, the worse it makes you look.

    If there's one thing you could say about HCP (outside of being all about his kids and Grant HS/NEP), it's that he doesn't take himself seriously. Nor should you.

    People have been far worse to him (especially to and about his wife) than he has to been to ANYONE. Ever.

    Get over yourself.

    I don't make jokes about his wife. I don't make jokes about mowing my lawn either. I just don't like it when people make troll posts. I give Sly the same amount of shit when he does it. I'm also willing to cut someone slack if they tend to bring legit discussion and not just troll posts.
