Okay which guy would u rather have on your team ?Like say that your were apart of the cav's mangment, would u rather have Ben Gordon as your starting guard on your team than Larry Hughes ?If your were apart of the bulls mangment, Larry Hughes rather than Ben Gordon ?and besides that who do you think the better player is at this moment.
Well, Ben Gordan is by far a better shooter then Larry Hughes. But Hughes has great defense, and is helping the Cavs' out with that defense. Hughes has found a place in the Cavaliers with moving to point guard. He has avg 17 PPG and 5 APG at the Point in the last 8 games(8-0). Gordan is a great scorer but he can't do it on a nightly base. But then again, Hughes is the same way on offense. Larry's defense keeps him going, but I would take Gordan's offense.
You must be talkin about Gordon from last season.. This year Gordon is getting 21ppg hes becoming a better passer / PG and he his rebounding ok. I think he would work SO much better with lebron then larry. Now I wouldnt mind larry for the bulls cause hes taller and defends better. But if I had to pick I would keep gordon cause hes younger and hes gonna be a great player
Ben Gordon. He is young and he is just getting better. He has a lot of potential so why chooce Larry Hughes.
Ben Gordon. Far better scorer, both are quick, but Ben has got the MUCH better shot. Ben is streaky, but so is Larry Hughes. Larry Hughes plays defense and gets steals, but Ben Gordon is a 21 ppg guy, and that's why I'd take him.
Okay which guy would u rather have on your team ?
If I could pick for the Magic, it would be Ben Gordon in a heart beat. A scorer on the oustide that could take pressure away from Dwight down low, doing both shooting and attacking, would make the Magic dangerous. Larry Hughes would help the Magic, but no nearly as well as Gordon would help the Magic offenisvely If I was the Cavaliers I would rather have someone that can score and shoot like Ben Gordon, over Larry Hughes any day. He would open up SO much more room for Lebron James offensively. He would be a much better compliment to Lebron James, and would make them SO much more of a threat offensively. Once again, I am going to go with Ben Gordon because he is just better offenisvely than Larry Hughes is, and helps this team so much on the perimeter. He is pretty much the spark of that team, and I doubt Larry Hughes could act as that spark of the team. At the moment I think Gordon is better, and I think he will stay a better player than Hughes. Sure Hughes has that defense which is very good, but I think Gordon's offense and what he would bring offensively would do SO much more for the team than Larry Hughes game brings.
I would rather have Gordon on my team for the future, but I really hate his game. Although he is a talented scorer, I view him as a selfish ballhog. Also, he is very one dimensional as a player. His only good attribute is his scoring ability. Hughes is a decent scorer (obviously not as good as Gordon), and he is also a veteran who is a good defender. Although Gordon is selfish and one dimensional, I would still rather have him on my team. He is younger and has a bright future ahead of him.

That is also why I said I would rather have him first. And he is more one dimensional than most players in the league. Everytime that I have seen him play, he plays selfishly as well. Maybe that is just everytime that I watch him, but thats how it looks to me. I said that I would rather have him, I just dont like his style of game.
I can agree with you on that. He is a very selfish player, and he looks to score whenever he touches the basketball. I was just trying to make a point that alot of really good players in this league are also one dimensional.
Like who? Look at all of the All-Stars. They can do other things besides score the ball...Ben Gordon isnt a good passer because he never looks to do it, he isnt a very good rebounder becasue he is undersized, and he isnt a good defender. He is just a scorer. Im sure their are other players that are one dimensional, I was just pointing out originally that is why I dont like him. Although I think we agree that he is one-dimensional so...
Carmelo, Michael Redd, Joe Johnson, Ray Allen, Gilbert Arenas. Those guys can probably pass better than Ben, but none the less...
Carmelo is a pretty decent rebounder, Michael Redd is pretty one dimensional, Joe Johnson is a good passer....He averaged alot of assists per game last year, and Ray Ray and Gilbert are pretty one dimensional also. But, Ben Gordon isnt even comparable to these players IMO...
Do you guys even watch bengordon. I mean he isnt a top passer but he does get 4apg. And he doesn't always look to score, even though skiles gives him the red light. ^^ and if you look up Gordons numbers and Gilberts " in his 3rd year: gordons isbetterAnd right now Gordon is shooting abetter % then gilbert playin about 9 less min and only 8 less ppg

Every single time I have watched Gordon play this year, he only looks to score. He might have games where he doesn't play like that, but im not kidding you...The last time I saw him play he shot the ball like 4 possessions in a row and they were all early in the shot clock...AND, he wasnt even making them but he kept going anyways. And we never said anything about comparing Ben Gordon to Gilbert in their 3rd year as to who is the better player or anything like that. We were just stating that they both are fairly one dimensional which is the truth.

He was out for the rest of the season with a rib injury. Yes but that's because Gordy's not being double teamed all the time. It's also been mentioned Gilbert played with a shoulder Injury for the month of February (which he didn't even know was serious), he was missing shots he normally makes. Also Gilbert attempts 8 threes a game, as opposed to Gordy's 4. If he doesn't attempt that much three (which I wish he'd do), his shooting % would be as good as Gordy's.I don't think Gordy's a ballhog. He's still young and learning. I expect his APG to go up in the future.
