What's not talked about is if you don't agree with sending our troops into harm's way you don't "Support the Troops!" I would think that truly supporting them means you don't want to send them to places like Iraq and Afghanistan.
It's not unusual for a woman to defend her husband, even if he's a scumbag. That was her job at the time. Which certainly wasn't an example of corrupt or criminal behavior. Poor judgement, perhaps, but also just being the responsible person when something bad happens. There's nothing in those emails that would put anyone in jail. I'm a vet....if vets who could handle their own health needs would step aside and let the VA treat those who can't, it'd be a start....I will only use the VA when I can't deal with something major....I know wealthy vets who use the system and really don't need to...just my 2 cents..the waiting lists are brutal in many places.
