Large part of my family is in the Tampa Area. But they work for the county and so are staying and manning evac shelters.
here's a "LIVE" channel of Irma onshore.... looks like Naples is getting flooded quick.... Glad to hear Michael is heading north, godspeed... 59- do y'all have a generator??? Sounds and looks like your going to get a shitload of water your way.... again, Godspeed be with y'all...
what cities did you say your family lives in Lil'...? Here's a better LIVE feed, unlike the prior feed, this one has interactive video/audio with a dude providing real time data....not just live weather cams... Surf's UP -!!-
...oh we're OK here...we'll likely only get about 45-50 mph winds and a shitload of rain. Just talked to my Brother in Sanford and he said he has already lost power...Mom, who lives about 12 miles from him still has power. (she decided to stay)
59- how much rain have y'all had thus far, and how much more are you expecting? any word from Michael anyone??? I seriously thought this thing was going to park over southern GA, northern F-L-A, and all hell would of been left behind under water..... getting conflicting reports now from news as to where the eye is at, or if its broken up. Sad enough even TWC or Weather Underground can and have been hours late in posting any info at all, incl rainfall et al. but then that's why no one needs a weatherman to know which way the wind blows, the sun shines, or it rains, snows, etc, et-cet-era...!
Okay guys the Yankees won tonight and they did it for Florida and Georgia. Hope to see you guys back soon. Really do miss you.........Be safe.
Great. It's amazing how fast power can be and is restored in the South. It's obvious most of these states have invested in systems to quickly restore what's down. I was wondering, f you had a generator; yet knowing your a very long time Joejahn gentleman, I assumed as much... Y'all see some hellacious storms year after year. When I think of that neck of the woods, I think of moving my family of high school boys on the rural northern outskirts (3miles north) of Perry off of hwy 41. I think of our house there, where the 12 foot wide window was like a Theater Screen, giving us a great 180 degree view of the pines 1/4 mile north, with relentless endless lightning bolts, and thunder loud enough to rattle the china in the house, even the reinforced storm windows rattled, or that might of been the windows solid frames themselves.....that was more entertaining than watching most movies.... Glad to hear y'all are ok. I had the worst feeling, Irma was going to park directly over your house 59... glad it moved out, without worse damage. I can only imagine how many trees are down there. Pines galore, Pecan, Oak. Georgia blew my mind as to the virtual beauty of its rural forests, plains, lakes plenty of 'em, with the best Bass fishing I've ever found in my life. Funny cuz we've gone out of our way to fish some lakes that are part of the Bass Angler's year long tourny, without catching a damn thing. A typical day in Ga, was a stringer full of 3-15 lb big mouth, some small mouth too.....
revision to above: 2nd line is: systems, and s/b (should be) Infrastructure and it's overall maintenance of such.... Georgia's highways and interstates, are incredibley much better than any in Caly.
