The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO Harris Bank, the NBA Gatorade League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, acquired three players in the 2017 NBAGL draft on Saturday in addition to two players in two draft-day trades. Windy City selected Mychal Mulder (6-4/185/Kentucky) with the ninth pick in the first round of Saturday’s draft. In his senior season with the Wildcats, Mulder averaged 6.5 ppg, while shooting 45.6% from the field and 40.4% from beyond the three-point line. Windy City made two selections in the fourth round, picking Kendal Yancy (6-3/210/Texas) with the ninth pick (87th overall) and Derrick Nix (6-9/270/Michigan State) with the 12th pick (90th overall). Additionally, Windy City dealt the returning player rights of Justin Dentmon to the Texas Legends in exchange for the 48th overall pick, Derick Newton (6-7/225/Stetson) and the returning player rights of former Chicago Bull Ben Gordon. In a separate draft-day transaction, Windy City dealt the returning player rights of J.J. Panoske and a 2018 third round pick to the Oklahoma City Blue for the returning player rights to Lockport, Ill. native Karrington Ward.
