I have not watched ESPN in quite some time now. They have become more that a sports channel and more than irritating. I look forward to them suffering the fate of fewer viewers.
One was prejudice towards a minority group, one was an opinion on the president. That's the difference.
ESPN chastised Hill. They would have suspended or fired her had she been a conservative, like they did Schilling and Cohn
I just explained why Shillings comments were way worse than Hill's. Republicans always gotta try to make it seem like Liberals get away with much more when in reality, in this situation, what Schilling said is much worse.
I think it is more about time and place. You say that on a forum like this or even sports talk radio, it fits within the context. You say that on a national news program where the host is female and the topic is about a female sports anchors comments it is different. Call it locker room talk of you want, but wrong time, place, topic, and audience to make that comment without some rebuke.
The double standard is Trump White House calling for her to be fired for calling him a racist, while Trump repeatedly called President Obama "racist" while hosting his shitty TV show. It's OK if you're white.
