The word taught is misused here I think. It is sort of surprising through, that at least one person in your area would not see to the end of your tenure.
I have been trying to remember a name... Fernandez! JJ, that is what I knew him by could not remember the rest of the name, JJ Fernandez, father of Swervin Mervyn Fernandez. JJ worked in the same group with me, in the test group. His son was a pretty fair football player, know locally in the bay area quite well, but damn near got lost in the Canadian league, doing real well there but not getting what he really wanted, play for the Oakland Raiders. One day JJ is raising a ruckus all over the place, his son is going to get a try with the Raiders! Man, I think it was the in the season not the training camp! Maybe I am wrong. So I met JJ at the local watering place, on our way home, we both lived up by Lake Anderson. I ask JJ if he was going to the game? Don't thinks so, no ticket and Mervyn doesn't have any yet. Shit! This ain't right!! So I mention it to another one of my guys, a die hard Raider. Just a soft query, isn't there anyway to get some tickets to this game? Some time later, Viola! Not only is JJ going but, several of us. Well anyway the Canadians are sort of laid back, don't always pay attention to the anthem if they remember to do it, so Mervyn is in that groove. He sort of fuckin around, changing feet and stuff and JJ is mortified. I think, if I remember right, Mervyn caught a pass and stuck for 5 or 6 years. Longer than I carried on there JJ was ex Navy.
If there are people in this country unaware, I highly doubt these actions will make them aware. Those who choose not to pay attention are in the woods and caves and likely have little influence on the issues at hand. The ones that have an impact are fully aware and don't care or are actively prejudiced/ racist. There is no one to make aware that wants to be aware anymore. The key, and what Nate bishop is getting at is Movements like this usually don't go far with out a clear cut agenda and end game. What is the end game desired and what are the steps to get there that people must be made aware of to accomplish such agenda? I'm sorry but to say equality or fairness doesn't cut it. It's a generalization without specifics. Its pretty obvious we need specifics because we already have an amended constitution that generally specifies equality of all. So what is the desired end result? Another amendment? Signs on walls, the lynching of anyone who is racist/prejudice? The problem I have with all this is there seems to be no detailed end game with a lined out agenda with goals that can be achieved and crossed off the list. Until there is a more consistent message of they desired results, this will never be anything more than a mockery of our actual freedom of speech.
I'm just going to say this and y'all are going to have to take it for what it is. Whenever we protest white people always say that we shouldn't be doing it or they tell us we're not doing it the right way. Every. Single. Time.
Then on the other hand, you get a bunch of white people that are helping you do the wrong thing (virtue signalers). It ain't helping.
You're just gonna get more white guys shot. The cops will think it make things look more fair. They don't care who they kill as long as they get to go home at night. Men, women, children and dogs. All allowed.
Well hell man! If the score is statistical correct, isn't that equal out come? Doesn't that make the world right?
Technically fair but not very nice really. I have a ton of questions I would ask before I even knew what I wanted done about this.
Damn! Never thought of that!!! We ain't doing shit though, asking nothing like what perhaps should be asked. We have the perfect obfuscation front and center gobbling the attention of every virtue signaler.
You know damn well you're not trying to be helpful. I think you rejoice when you see a young black man gets shot.
Alright. List of questions off the top of my head. 1. Why the police presence in black communities? 2. Why do police departments use clearly unconstitutional tactics like Stop and Frisk? 3. Why does it seem like police don't respond to 911 calls fast enough in inner cities? 4. Is police shooting policy pretty standard across the country? 5. Can we make the body cams turn on automatically when they detect loud noises like screaming and gunshots? 6. Can we change police policy to make the cops have to back off if possible? Tons of questions. I'm sure there are more. Many of which would be offensive to some people. It would just be honest questions some from pure lack of knowledge or ignorance about the inner cities.
Time goes by and no one speaks of what is actually wrong or what to do about it. Just more virtue signaling about free speech rights and standing ain't in your face.
