Gerald or Rajon? Let me just start out by saying this is a difficult decision. But I would rather trade Rajon because I have a strong feeling Gerald Green is going to be a 28/5/3 player in this league and the future along with Al of this organization. Rajon is awesome he changes the pace of the game, crazy defense, IQ off the chain but he can't shoot and score and is very small for his position and I think he'll struggle in the league. I know there are so many wing-player you can get nowadays but I just think GG is just going be a spectacular player for years to come.

Ummm...You'd probably have to trade both for an all-star.

We are already discussing this in another thread, I got into a mini-debate with ballerman about it. I'd give up Gerald before Rajon without any hesitation. Wing scorers are a dime a dozen, true point guards like Rondo (especially with the defensive abilities he has) are not very common.

I'd say Gerald too. I've seen way too many players like Gerald and have only been watching the NBA for a few years. Rondo is one of the most unique players I have ever seen. I love Rondo.

Here's my view: neither. We've hung with Dallas and beat the Spurs in the past two days. I think this team is finding itself. The future is showing.

Well, I already shared my view on this in another thread. And CB32, our debate is where he got the idea for the topic. Although a player like Rajon is very unique, and even though I love everything about his game (despite his terrible jumpshot), Gerald has an opportunity to be amazing, and he has so much potential...Id rather keep both of them.

We'd all love to keep both of them, but if Ainge is going to take the next step and if Ainge is going to get Paul Pierce some veteran help, we are going to have to trade one of them. If Ainge will stick by his word with Pierce, and if he's going to get us another All-Star caliber veteran, we have to give up one of these guys.

Although this team has alot of young talent, and if they keep most of these young guys they are going to be good in a few years, Paul isnt going to want to wait much longer. You can tell that he is getting frustrated with the team...He is talking about sitting down for the rest of the season? Obviously that is for health reasons, but Paul has never talked about things like this before. Of course one of them would need to be traded it we were to get another All-Star caliber player, but to be honest, I dont think Ainge is going to want to trade either one of them. We could afford to trade Gomes, TA, Delonte, Bassy, and Perk, but if we could keep Al, Gerald, and Rondo, this team would be set for the future.

About Paul possibly sitting it out - you are right, he's never talked about this before, he's never really been hurt until this season. He's a warrior, he always wants to play... yes, but isn't it a bit of a "coincidence" to you that last week Pierce talked about watching Oden/Durant play a lot, he likes them both a lot. Now all of the sudden, once he actually starts playing/moving well, he's "hurting" again? I think Paul finally realizes "if I want to take it to the next level in Boston, I might want to think about actually making sure we're in the running for a young superstar like one of these guys."

Call me crazy, but I do think that the lottery definitely does play a part in Paul all of the sudden talking about resting. I hate the fact that I am thinking this way, and I hate the fact that we are even discussing the lottery 4 years into Ainge's tenure, but it's a reality. I believe what I said.

Dude, to be honest, I never even thought about that. I wont call you crazy because personally, I think it makes alot of sense. Durant or Oden are going to be stars in this league, and fast too (especially durant...I think he could put up 20 a game his rookie year). Good thinking though...I agree with you. If this is what Paul is thinking, then we wont have to trade Rondo or Green to get another All-Star caliber player. YAY! haha

Whether we get Oden/Durant or not, we still need a veteran or two on this team. Paul will still want it, and I think it's best for the team. There is NO WAY Gerald Green, Delonte West, Rajon Rondo, Ryan Gomes, Tony Allen, Sebastian Telfair all develop on the same team, especially the 4 guards (West/Rondo/Allen/Telfair). At some point, we are going to HAVE to trade 2-3 of these guys. Even playing time aside, we would never be able to pay them all when the time comes for everyone. Big Al is a max deal and I think 3-4 of the other guys will end up making some solid cash too. We need 1-2 vets.

I cant believe you just said that, and no one replied to that like it was even remotely unreasonable. Gerald Green is no way near that level. Do you know his season high for points is 22? Now Im not saying that is why it doesn't make him that type of player, but come on seriously. I hate how Gerald is given so much credit in these ways, because he is athletic, tune into reality man.

We all know what my boy G$ did to y'all last year :winkglasses:, you don't watch Celtics games. Gerald can put up 28/5/3 when he develops. Lebron averages 27/6/5 now. And you hater Gerald season high is 25 not 22.

I know Gerald's potential, and if your saying in the near future he is like Lebron, then you are spraying aerosol up your nose. I know what Gerald did, and sure I didnt like it, but thats just G-Money doing his job, and I dont 'hate' him for it. Dont put words in my mouth. You have no basis on your opinion. For him to 'develop' into a Lebron, he will have to work on every single aspect of his game except for his atheltisicim, Get real man.
