http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2e00-17gmc<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>SI.com -Scot Pollard, center for the Cleveland Cavaliers , looked into the camera during a recent game and said, "Hey kids, do drugs."Pollard was sitting on the bench in street clothes when he made the remark during a timeout."We have spoken with Scot and certainly do not condone his actions," general manager Danny Ferry said in a statement Wednesday. "He regrets his mistake, using inappropriate humor, particularly when he has always been very involved in the community, projecting positive messages to our youth. We will handle the issue internally.""It was a bad joke," Pollard said in Thursday editions of The Plain Dealer. "That's all it boils down to. There are a number of things people could say about it, but it just turned out it was a bad joke. Obviously, I don't believe that."</div>

What kind of message does that send to our country's inner-city youth?

Uh oh, Scott Pollard told me to do something. I better go do it if I want to be cool. The majority of people don't even know who Scott Pollard is.

This is actually really funny. The media would make a big deal out of something like this....Who cares? Its f*cking Scott Pollard...Nobody knows who the hell he is, and even if they do, they would just laugh about it because its Scott Pollard.

Idiot....it's kinda funny but if I was watching a game with my child and that came on I probably wouldn't be too happy. How is this guy still in the league by the way? Now that I'm thinking of it, I don't think I've ever seen this guy on the court. I just remember him always being on the bench with crazy hair cuts when the Celtics would play the Pacers in the playoffs. He must get real bored on that bench.

I think the NBA is doing the right thing giving him a fine, but it's not that big of a deal. Anybody who knows anything about Scott Pollard knows that he's loves to joke around, he's never serious. This situation is no different than rappers doing drugs in their music videos.

Those songs and videos are supposed to be for mature audiences only too, and the NBA is open to all ages, so there is a difference between the two.

lol. I remember Scott Pollard - we traded him for flipping Brad Miller. He played for us for several years. He was always funny - but a nutcase. He's more famous for his hair than for playing in the NBA. But this incident is not funny. It's not the end of the world but it's not funny.

However, there are more black people than any other race that listens to rap. All ethnicities watch the NBA and black people also tend to get in more trouble anyways as stereotypical as that is.

I find this funny, while it is serious to say something like that on TV, who the hell is gonna listen to Scott Pollard who probably nobody (that doesn't follow basketball closely) has ever heard of.
