..."pathological"?...please, don't use words you neither fully understand nor can quantify...and has been pointed out to you multiple times, just because I have been consistent, unlike you, in my feelings and opinions concerning Trump, does not by default make me a "liberal"... but feel free to continue to assume things about me, when in fact you really know nothing about me.

...still waiting on something tangible that supports the narrative that Trump's words have adversely affected TV ratings...I'll wait on that too.

speaking on OT matters, on the Old BSPN boards, most of us looked forward to the "Good Morning" OT post, as much as the game itself, well almost....

Imo, this IS a classic Post, one if you've read and have been a part of since day one of its inception, you'd see it was created long prior to the Elections, pre-Primary, et al.

Tho' we know their is "other" sportstwo OT Forums, we like to keep this one in our own house, with our own members/posters; non- Yanx Posts are necessary imo, ..

Whether you like or dislike Trump as a person, or POTUS is ridiculously impertinent. I for one will always respect the position, but don't have to respect the man, and don't one fkng bit.....but I'm not going to praise an self saturated fellating idiot neither. What's at stake here are a shit load of Congressional and WH follies, with laws that aren't being completed as promised, nothing's really getting done in DC,.... we all want a functional exectutive, and we'd all rather die on our feet, than live kneeling...

You'll find we've slammed just about any politician. We find a commonality more in our disagreements, than our agreements, and that much is healthy imo. No consenus here ever, that too is healthy. What's not healthy is seeing this for what it is, yet stating otherwise. If you don't like what's on the menu, there's always another Diner....

...lol...and you accuse me of "cherry picking"?

...if you're going to copy and paste only a portion of an article to bolster your narrative, at least include the link that talks about the bigger picture.

Here, I'll post it for you; https://www.usatoday.com/story/mone...fl-player-protests-hurting-ratings/703619001/

...Still waiting on the evidence that Trumps's words are the reason TV ratings are down...again, isn't that the basis for your argument?...I also asked Tote to provide it, but so far nothing but crickets.

I'm not fellating trump. Just tired of seeing a whining liberal Wienie snowflake like you constantly distracting from a great yankee season. I guess the thread will stay as true blue wants it to crack the 3,000 mark for some reason. This should be somewhere else. I will not post on this anymore. Just on threads pertaining to the yanks. Hopefully you'll follow but I suspect you'll keep boring us to death with your agenda

...lmao...and there you have it folks, personal insults...the very last bastion of someone without a compelling argument.

...and I'm not "distracting" from anything...no one is forcing you to click on this thread except yourself.

...the title is CLEARLY headlined with "OFF TOPIC"....makes no sense to me if you already know in advance what this "O/T" thread is about, and yet you condemn it, but you continue to post in it...again, no one is complaining but you.

...and in case you have not noticed, I'm by no means the only person in this thread who thinks Trump is a madman.

Latest with Puerto Rico: Trump is actually accurate with his view that the island is in efficient and deep down in debt. A few years ago, the population vote refused to submit as a State of this country although much of NY is populated with PR citizens. Trump wants to stress the point that they expect everything but their community doesn't offer resiliency and a"I can do" attitude. There are thousands of container vessels sitting on their docks but they lack people to off load and distribute goods.

...yeah, the infrastructure in PR leaves a lot to be desired....they don't want to be a state, yet they are begging for our help now that they need us.

Not sure why a thread has to be moved with a redirect..what purpose does that serve?

Not sure why there is an outcry for it to be closed or moved...if you don't like reading and debating about something so important do the simple thing....dont read it.

    Imo...i stand for the flag...but some don't.
I take my hat off....a lot dont...i softly sing the anthem...some take the time to text and take pictures...

Imo..those who kneel silently are being respectful in being silent. People have the right to their opinion and can be upset about those kneeling...but why does that detract from the actual game?

To me too many people whine about whiners. Sing louder and prouder of it bothers you.

Don't like a thread..dont read it skip over it.

In other words..be a fucking adult

To all the Yankee Fans; Win It ALL. Beat the Red Sox. I'm an O's fan and as usual the team (especially pitching) self destructs at the end of the season.

As fkd up as society is today, it amazes me how it takes a damned crisis for people to act like decent human beings....

not speaking of the hurricane relief alone, ie the Vegas shootings, with plenty of people helping those injured or worse... 911 was the perfect example of people helping others...

take a look at Trumpets twitter fanatic fest, and Puerto Rico, is all that bickering really necessary; when it's precious time wasted that could be used to get something done, corrected, or directed at fixing the problem, in lieu of creating another seperate series of problems....

^^^^ she's as stunningly amazing a person as Trump, when it comes to pure ignorance, and other self interest feeding their ego's; and needs to be in a spotlight. Both seem to feed off of air time, camera time, even if it takes (another) ignorant statement, or personal bombasts of others, on Twitter or otherwise.....both belong in the same mental ward, put boxing gloves on 'em, and lock 'em in a padded cell, or Cage....

    http://www.cnn.com/2017/10/02/politics/president-donald-trump-puerto-rico-crisis/index.html

    excerpts:

Under pressure, Trump improvises, polarizes and victimizes. He has shown himself content to frame his own reality --

The President has also displayed an obsessive interest in how he is perceived. His frustration has been spilling out in prolonged Twitter storms, offering the kind of insights into his state of mind that Americans have had to wait for autobiographies or historians to uncover during previous presidencies.

These glimpses of Trump's character suggest that expectations that he could hit a more conventionally "presidential" register when the trivia of daily political life is replaced by life-and-death decisions, may be misplaced. They may also offer pointers as to how he would lead in a national security crisis with graver global implications than Puerto Rico's troubles, perhaps in the standoff with North Korea over its nuclear program, or in the case of an explosion of tension with Iran. The drama of hurricane season is also offering pointers to how Trump sees the job of the presidency itself.

There's been little evidence that Trump accepts that his office is a public trust and the place where the buck stops -- fairly or not. His reaction to criticism over Puerto Rico suggests the reverse, that he sees his job as more of an extension of his own ego and prestige.

Such assaults reflect the unique nature of Trump's administration.
It is highly unlikely any other modern President -- especially in the post Hurricane Katrina age would find it appropriate to insult a local official pleading for help in a disaster zone, as Trump did with the mayor of San Juan.

And in a Twitter blast, Trump seemed to blame the victims of the hurricane itself, saying "they want everything to be done for them when it should be a community effort."

The less involved Trump is, the better off this nation is, and will be. Let the appointed experts take care of the problems. Instead we get Twitter Storms to Tillerson, while he's overseas dealing with NORK Issues....

...still can't believe our only choices were Trump and Hillary...that, in itself should tell how fucked up we are as a nation.
