Re: gilbert's last shot at 50 vs. blazers tuesday Just letting everyone know about Arenas' and EJ's relationship.. Arenas reportedly said that he would leave the team if Eddie Jordan was fired, or if he quit.
Re: gilbert's last shot at 50 vs. blazers tuesday I say he'll get 9 again, come on Portland shut him down!

Re: gilbert's last shot at 50 vs. blazers tuesday Arenas: 19 points, 4-15 shooting, 0-7 3pt. attempts., 11-12 free throws.pretty much all his points came from free throwsplus, to cap it all off, he air balls the floater to send the game into overtime!! good game
Re: gilbert's last shot at 50 vs. blazers tuesday Gilbert just set himself up for embarrasment. Jesus, man. Being cut is part of basketball, take it like a man and stop being a lil whiny bi*ch about it. Just go out and play basketball for god sakes.BTW, did anyone else find it funny when Gilbert said in his commercial "Instead of being bitter...."? WTF is that supposed to mean? Gilbert is the most bitter player in the NBA.
Re: gilbert's last shot at 50 vs. blazers tuesday Arenas is at the point now where he needs to shut his mouth, he can't keep saying he's going to do something and then not do it. He should have quit while he was ahead, now it's getting embarrassing.

Re: gilbert's last shot at 50 vs. blazers tuesday Like I've said before, all Gilbert wants is for people to feel sorry for him. That commercial pisses me off, like he's the only god damn player thats had a rough start. Good lord....'for the first 40 games, I sat on the bench'....oh god shut up.
Re: gilbert's last shot at 50 vs. blazers tuesday Another observation, Gilbert can't draw worth sh*t.
Re: gilbert's last shot at 50 vs. blazers tuesday He can draw better than me....I almost failed art class, no joke....
Re: gilbert's last shot at 50 vs. blazers tuesday Can anyone imagine an iverson, a tmac or a kobe making promises and failing twice? lol
Re: gilbert's last shot at 50 vs. blazers tuesday Hey melo and all of you news flash, 16 shots isnt nearly enough to get 50 pts. Setting up players the entire first half is not trying to get 50 pts. He didn't want the 50.

Re: gilbert's last shot at 50 vs. blazers tuesday Yeah I'm sure they would care. Every NBA star has had somethign that really has pursued them through their career. Allen Iverson's "practice" speech. Kobe and Phil's relationship/Kobe and Shaq's relationship. HAS GILBERT EVER DONE ANYTHING LIKE THAT.

Re: gilbert's last shot at 50 vs. blazers tuesday Kobe Bryant did on a championship savy roster with a prime Shaq on his side. When did Allen Iverson ever succeed anything in his career? Don't say scoring title's because the scoring is there for Gilbert. Don't say the finals appereance because they got abused and besides there and the team was much better than the wiz have now.

Don't say the finals appereance because they got abused and besides there and the team was much better than the wiz have now.</div>If you honestly think that 2001 Finals team was better than the Wizards right now (talent wise), you're on crack. There are only three pieces that the '01 squad had over this Wizards team: Iverson, Mutombo, and Larry Brown. Sure, they got "abused" in the Finals, but the way he single-handedly carried that team offensively all the way to the Finals had never really been done before in history... and they were the only team to beat the Lakers in the playoffs. And yes, the scoring titles are an achievement (4 of them, by the way, not to mention third highest career PPG average in NBA history), playoff success, ROY award, MVP awards (NBA, ASG and Rookie Challenge)... anybody who knows anything about basketball knows Iverson has had more success in his career than Arenas has had, and if you honestly think otherwise then you don't have as much NBA knowledge and common sense as I thought.Even if Kobe played second-fiddle to Shaq for those three titles, he still has three rings... and nothing will ever change that fact.
Re: gilbert's last shot at 50 vs. blazers tuesday What if the Wizards did win and Gilbert Arenas just ended up with 20 and 10 like he did last night? Would you still give him heat or would you care more about the win? Because it wasn't Gilbert Arenas's fault that they lost last night, even though he missed on that final play. The entire game was terrible coaching by Eddie Jordan. He'd call timeouts just to argue a call rather than focus on gameplanning and making the right adjustments. EVERY time down the stretch when we needed a shot, our shooters weren't there, and everytime we needed a rebound, our big men weren't there like that one play where the Blazers got a tip-in in that last minute, and that was just bad gameplanning by Eddie Jordan. Deshawn Stevenson, our best defensive player got blown twice down the last minute for 2 easy layups, so basically you can't blame Gilbert Arenas. If anyone, blame it on Eddie. When we had a good lead, rather than trying to build on it, he'd insert crappy guys and our lead was gone. All I'm saying is, yeah Gilbert said he'd score 50, but he didn't. He did give up 20 points, from the 10 assists he dished out. He still managed to score 20 points off 16 attempts, just imagine if he did hit most of his shots. Check it out, he hit 4 out of 16 on the field with 19 points, if he hadn't dished out his 10 points, and scored on 7 of those plays, that would've been 14 points, including the and 1's he could've had, that would've been 34 points. I'd say 34 is still nice, even though he didn't get 50. All I'm saying is, if his shot was going down, he would've had 30 or 40 easily, and if it went to OT, who knows how much more he could've had.
