As we've come to know with Francona you expect the unexpected. Once again the Yankees face a Cleveland Team in what I call the lucky sevens, losses in '97 and '07, lets see that change in '17. Funny how shit like that pops up in the memory bank at playoff time. This Yankee Team is a vanguard of many good seasons to come so hopefully they'll make a damn good showing. Lets hope it begins this series.
...yeah, and now I like our chances much better now in game 1, which would be a huge win, especially on the road.
First thought I had after hearing that Cleveland Pitching Decision was Casey Stengel starting Art Ditmar over Whitey Ford in the '60 World Series and we know how that turned out. Saw articles this am about the difficulties encountered by a Wild Card Team beating a 102 game winner like Cleveland. The '97 Indians were beaten in the World Series by a Wild Card Team.
