I almost feel bad for Smush Parker for all the hate he gets from Laker fans, he went undrafted out of college and he's making a solid career for himself. Re: Say it's aint so... Well, the problem with Smush is more his attitude. He doesn't seem to respect Phil and calls him out all the time. ie. Pheonix game a few weeks ago and Dallas game the Sunday before last when he got ejected in the first quarter. The guy also plays no true defense and all he does is gamble. If you watch him he might get a steal or two but it costs about 10 points to the opposition because of it. It gets hard too support him when he acts dumb and doesn't respect the coaching staff and is as inconsistant as he is.

Re: Say it's aint so... I think his attitude has a lot to do with some of his struggles and he's not use to this whack ass system. The triangle offense is so weak IMO, I would be upset if I had to play in it too. On his defense, he does take a lot of gambles but a lot of times at the end of games he comes up with big steals and defensive plays. I hope he gets it together for the playoffs.

Re: Say it's aint so... I think that Smush is a little bit underrated. He gets critisized so much, and I never have really though he was that bad. He isnt a great passer, but he can pass the ball. And he is a decent rebounder for a guard also...Im not TOO suprised to see this.

He's an alright backup PG for most teams in the league...he's just average at most aspects of the game and plays in LA where the PG isn't expected to do that much...Phil Jackson has lived off average PG's for nearly his entire coaching career.

All we need for him to do is hit the open shots when he gets them and play better on ball defense.His quick hands when stealing the ball makes up for his sloppy play on D, he constantly lets the opponent get by him causing foul trouble for Bynum and Kwame who can't control their bodies worth sh*t.
