18/6 in 17 minutes. I know it's just preseason but I think this guy is for real. Like All-Star for real. We're gonna be really good this year and even better next season as Nurk and Swanigan get more experience.
I am encouraged but his D looks weak as does his foot speed, nice shooting ability and rebounding but going inside for him against NBA players could be a problem for a while. Lets give him and Zach some time before we make judgements
I'm not sold on him being a sure thing All-Star just yet, but I did like what I saw. I'm encouraged that he's not a one-trick pony. He shoot the 3 with confidence. Hits the pick and role mid range jumper. He's active setting screens. He posts up with his back to the basket, while also looking to pass. And although he does look a bit slow on his feet, he always seems to be in the right place to pick up a rebound. And his defensive effort seems to be there - he challenged multiple shots last night. At pick #26, I'm excited about his potential. Heck, forget the potential. I'm excited what I saw last night. 18 points and 6 rebounds in 17 minutes was fun to watch.
From nba.com: No surprise he's great. He's not a great decision-maker on defense which is why he didn't go #1. That being said, by my eyesight, he's not as bad as some scouts have suggested.
An all star after one meaningless preseason game thread. And in another thread somebody said THIS guy posts actual content and I don't?
Honestly after the frustration we've experienced with Myle over the last few years, don't we deserve a really good big guy (or two) from the draft?
We're really liking how the programmer did, not the computer itself. That makes me feel better when I do.
Collins is the PFOTF.... Biggie should start right away though. When Zach is ready to start Biggie should be the 6th man getting starters minutes backing up both C and PF.
