Last year's big man rotation: Plumlee, Aminu, Vonleh, Biebs
This year big man rotation: Nurk, Biggie, Davis, Collins

The best rebounder from last year (Pre-Nurk) would only be our 4th or 5th best rebounder this year. NBD are all consistent and reliable rebounders.......

and rebounding is EXACTLY what you want when you have smalls who can put the ball in the hoop. Having 3 should be amazing.

For this reason, I think Davis will be re-signed at the end of the year, and I think our team will be really good.

    GO BLAZERS!!

I agree with this. I said in the game thread that we should be a terrific rebounding team this year.

    Two more quick notes:

    1) We can talk about the greatness of Drexler, the shooting of Porter, the tenacity of Kersey, and the beef of Duckworth, but it wasn't until they got Buck that they really excelled, and make no mistake about it, it was that team's rebounding that propelled them to the finals.

    2) Small sample size, blah, blah...
    In 2 preseason games:
    Blazers: 27 offensive rebounds
    Opponents: 12 offensive rebounds

Imagine if we didn't play our scrubs in the 4th, or even at all!

Yes; in both games the starters absolutely dominated the boards (when the opponent got a shot to hit the rim; steals, blocks, and tipped balls abounded!). I got huge deja vu back to the late 90’s in the third quarter last night.
