...the Indians also have an advantage, in overall offense, defense, starting pitching, relief pitching...........

Frasier is not a slow runner. It made no sense. Plus, if they don't score there you pulled a guy on base four times in the game.

Let the Mets have their turn with Girardi. At some point I was done with Torre (who had a ton more equity) and after this I'm done with Girardi.

Torreyes in the postgame interview said he took a larger lead than normal so he could get a good jump with the bunt. that more than anything contributed to him being off further than he normally would be if a bunt wasn't in play. I don't claim to have more knowledge than anyone. I took the time to carefully explain the play in question to show you that you were wrong. The guys on tv happened to agree with me with the bunch of girardi fuck ups this game.

I wouldn't have taken him out either just making the point thats most likely why girardi did. Just added to the rest of his game fuck ups.

...yes you did...do I really need to copy and paste your quote questioning my "baseball knowledge"?...and of course Torreyes said what he said...what do you expect him to say?...he fucked up, period like the "experts" said he did.
...and exactly what do you think I am wrong about?...for the umpteenth time, it does not matter whether a bunt is intentional, bluffed, or missed..."it is still up to the runner to ensure that the bunt is laid down safely"....do you dispute that?...if no, your point is moot ...if yes, well, I'm not the one who is 'wrong."

Girardi says he didn't challenge because he didn't want to break Green's rhythm. What rhythm was that exactly Joe? By not challenging Green had just given up a double and then hit a batter to load the bases. So exactly what was Green doing that you didn't want disrupt?

...Joe's explanation sounded like he was either covering up for whoever gave him the video info or covering up for himself...not sure we'll ever know the whole story but in the dugout you could see Joe's shoulders slump when he finally got the info saying that the pitch hit the knob of the bat. But I guess by that time it was too late too appeal although at that juncture of the game he probably should have appealed anyway.
...needless to say, this was a "gut punch" loss...and there are a lot of pissed off Yanx fans. There were quite a few moments in the game that the Yanx failed to execute or capitalize on that may have changed the outcome.
...like i said earlier, I did not particularly agree with the decision to remove CC, who was cruising at the time and whose pitch count was still low (77)...when Joe took him out CC had retired 12 of the last 13 Indians hitters he had faced and was about to face the 7-8-9 hitters. Seemed a bit like over-managing to me at the time.

To me if Sanchez is immediately telling you to challenge it that should make up most of your mind right there. Beyond that just say your video people didn't have a conclusive look. Saying something as moronic as I didn't want to break Green's rhythm made him sound like a fool.

Girardi IS A FOOL, so him sounding like one is par for the course.

...like Harold Reynolds pointed out, Joe should not have been worried about losing a review request...especially at that point in the game.

Especially, when in the 7th inning and on the umpires will look at anything close themselves. Sadly, Girardi was completely lost in that moment.

...yeah, I thought about that too...surprised the Umps didn't review that play, especially since the batter didn't act like get got hit.

...I don't think anyone could logically argue that Cleveland has not been the better team but hell, we coud be going home for 2 games with the series tied.

    ...coulda, shoulda, woulda,.....didn't.

Another one of tthose "7" year Yankee plays we'd like to forget. In the 1957 world Series a Braves Batter named Nippy Jones was hit in the foot. The umpire made a wrong call, Jones challenged and they found a black shoe polish smudge on the ball and Jones was awarded first. Eddie Matthews hit a two run bomb and Milwaukee won the game. About the time that the Green play happened I had to let my dog out and when I came back the salami was over the wall. Heard all the controversy, just saw the post game and cannot Girardi said what he said. I've supported that man since day one but did not agree with what he said. Green rhythm BS, the guy was struggling. Still the Yankees has a lead and a chance, I believe that that Toreyes fuck up let all of the remaining air out of the bag. To lose after they handed Kluber his ass is devastating.

who gets the last laugh, NO ONE!

i posted for years on NY rangers board, girardi & staal kill any chance for a cup, was banned for being negative. last year most of the posts on that board were about how these 2 sucked, that they should be gone, it took years for rangers fans to get it!

now on to clueless joe, posted for years about his ways, how his immature way of thinking the game would kill the yankees chances, NOW, i think you finally get it! these kids are to good for this moron!

don't think this post will last because of how this board is managed, but PASTA LIVES ON to try and help others understand elsewhere.

My biggest Girardi complaint is that he has often shown no feel for managing within the game. You cannot always follow preconceived game plans when there's no reason to. Use your eyes and have some respect and belief in your players. If it was back in the day there's old time pitchers that would've cursed Girardi back into the dugout if he tried nonsense like that. Removing CC at 77 pitches because Green was the plan was just plain stupid. You have a veteran on the mound who had a fantastic season. He's cruising in the game and it's in Cleveland of all places. One out with a man on first and after that out you're taking him out in the sixth inning with a five run lead. Why?
