Living in Florida, where a lot of illiegal immigrants come, I am sick of all the talk about it. The U.S. government just needs to crack down on it. Someone even asked me if we should go to was with Mexico, I mean come on how many taco's can they throw at us.Anyways, I wanna here some opinions on this from people that are actually smart about politics...
I went to Mexico over Spring Break and when coming back I saw that they really boosted the security on the border. It was so frustrating waiting so long to get by....you know what they do? They ask you "Is everyone here a US citizen?" "Thank You." No passports needed, no checking in the trunk for Mexicans, nothing. It was tougher to get IN Mexico than to get out.
Thsi government needs to do something, Mexicans are comming over this boarder at an alarming rate, and they aren't assemilating into US culture. A civilization cannot be bi-cultural. it failed in Egypt, Persia, Greece, Rome, Brittian, and its surely to fail here. I understand that they want a better life, but their better life is comming at a drain to the people already in America. They don't pay taxes, they send vast ammounts of money back to their mother country, while robbing this country blind and taking needed resources from Americans who need it.I say Mexicans, becaus their are the primary ones who are causing the problems. Cubans do to some extend, but its much harder for them to get a board to come over here; though I do got to admire their enginuity at times(who knew you could turn a Taxi into a boat). People from other countries are usually legal, because its much harder to get here from say Africa. I am against amnesty 100%, if we give these people amnesty who's next? Petiphiles? Extortionist? Scammer? I think the ones living here should be deported, and forced to enter this country legally, and be forced to pay back some of the owned Tax money. but unfortinatly there are people who are so afraid of hurting someones feelings that they just want to give them US citizenship, which is a slap in the face to every single person who came here legally.

I actually don't mind them. They do a helluva job in the yard and being on the border has helped bring some delicious Mexican food here.
Hey, I live in Los Angeles. I have friends that have parents that are here illegally. I just think it is grosely accepted. Americans lose jobs everyday because illegals do it for cheap. Billions of tax dollers are spent on them and they take ALOT of room in our overcrowded prisons when they shouldn't have been in this country in the first place.

Not to be racist, but I would never higher any white guy to do the gardening. If these people are illegal, what worthwhile jobs can they take away from Americans. I don't really care for dropouts and people that need minimum wage jobs, but will a Mickey D's or Burger King ever say no? I don't really think it's a big deal. The prisons I understand and schools too.

The prisons I understand and schools too.</div>I'm glad you understand about the prisons and schools but when I am talking about jobs I am not talking about the dropouts etc. I'm talking about the hard working high school/college kid earning money to get by. That is what the minimum wage it really for, isn't it? Not illegals.
Enrique is my friend though ese. Gosh I just love the Mexicans that I don't really care for this Immigration stuff. Once it actually starts to affect my life in a negative way I will react to it. They are pretty violent though. Heh, there was just a fight today...off-topic. I get what your saying though, I do, I just haven't personally had any problems with them being here.
America thinks they have a problem... try living in Canada for immigration. We imbrace other culture we allow them to speak there languages and keep there cultures. You think moving to a new country where everyone has opportunity they would respect our languages and culture. But most of them speak little to no enligh at all. And instead of teaching them or have them learn we make it easier for them by putting out newpapers among other things for them. I respect other cultures but there has to be a line drawn somewhere like its rediculos.

Why should we have to change our culture for people that should not even be here in the first place and people that chose to break our laws.We only think we have a problem? Try we already do have a huge problem:The US has spent over 1 BILLION dollers on illegals incarcerated here in the states. The cost of social services dealing with illegals is well over 300 BILLION. That's just absurd. Wheather you believe so or not America already has a problem.

Once they asked him what was in his motor-home and in this order he said "My dog, my food, and my wife." :HAHAHA:

In my opinion: If an illegal speaks english, they can stay, if they don't they're just squandering our resources. I remember we had a cleaning woman from brazil for four years, and after four years she still didn't speak english. I think there should be a six month grace period and if you aren't fluent in english by then you shouldn't be allowed to stay.Now if they're working, contributing to society, and speaking english, I don't see what the problem is. They're not "taking jobs from the white man" they're taking jobs from the twelve year old, because those are the people who would do those jobs if they weren't there.And I think that if an illegal is sent to prison in the US they should be sent to prison back in their own country. 12% of prisoners in California are illegal mexicans, we'd save tens of billions of dollars if we deported them.

Awesome, we are doing debates instead of a research report in English and my topic is Illegal Immigration and since my parter and debate opponent is Mexican I get the con side of the argument so I can get help from you guys.
