Will he? He currently is ahead of Carmelo by about .2 a game after his two game outbursts he had this past week. I find it hard to believe that Carmelo will chase Kobe down when he has to share the rock with AI every game. I think Carmelo will get more of the same (27 point games), but I don't think he will have enough BIG games to chase Kobe down. Kobe is geared up to lead the Lakers to a 6th seed, and I think we can al expect some more huge outbursts from him. I think he'll average 30.5-31 ppg, and he'll win his 2nd straight scoring title.

The amazing way he is playing right now to lead his team to victory...I definitely think there is a high posibility of him being the scoring champ this year again.

yes I think he will...like you said with Iverson on his team it's tough but with being thretened with being "benched" maybe it will motivate melo to be betterbut I seriously don't see him scoring 30+ very often like Kobe doesbecause the thing is everytime he scores less than 29 his average drops

you also have to think about arenas because he takes so many shots, but if you ask me at the end of the year I think Kobe is #1 and Arenas is #2

Yes, Kobe Bryant will win it. Carmelo Anthony doesn't have enough huge scoring games where he goes off for 35-40 points. Kobe Bryant has a few monster games to put his average up, while Carmelo steadily scores around 30 every game and doesn't go much higher than that. I find it funny that he only scored more than 40 points one time this year, that's incredible consistency.

Yes, I think Kobe will. Like Balla said, Melo doesn't necessarily go off like Kobe does on a regular basis. Not to mention, he has one of the best scorers of all-time by his side as well. Kobe most likely will win it, but even if he doesn't - he's still the best player (and scorer) in the world.

Arenas has a shot at making a run now that Butler is out, and his team needs him. I suspect that Kobe now has the eye of the tiger and will be able to keep his lead at the top though.

Yeah. He will win it. Whatever. What's the big deal about the scoring title. People always act like it's the MVP or something. Really it's just an award. The last person who seriously led the league in scoring and won titles at the same time was MJ. Since then most of the time leading the league in scoring hasn't amounted to much.

That's because most of the award winners who've won it since MJ are big men, and Steve Nash and those guys won't be winning scoring titles. I think it is a decent achievement. It means that you are the best, or one of the best scorers in the League, and it's always a decent race, especially this year since it is so close.

Congrats to Kobe on the scoring title. That doesn't win a championship though. Achievements like these don't mean much.

Yeah I was making a point I guess. Scoring titles don't mean much. I definitely think Kobe will be the leader though as he is the most explosive player out there. It isn't an easy accomplishment.

Kobe will. There's 20 games left and the ppg difference don't change much late in the season based on numbers. Though Melo misses 15 games so there's still time.

It seems like Kobe is starting to pull away, he's been a monster recently and has had to take his team back on his back. I kinda hoped we wouldn't see this Kobe anymore however this time he has to do it for the LAL orginization.

Ya, if Kobe can keep this up like last year, he'll definitely pull away from melo and win the scoring title. He's been unstoppable as of late, and at the same note also making new records. So who knows what hapens.
