I was working at the restaurant this morning, getting things ready with my manager when one of our day workers, Toni, came in, her face and shirt was covered in blood, her face was a mess and she was shaking/crying. She told us that her boyfriend Wayne (6'5" 250izh) beat her up because she caught him talking to his ex-wife over the phone and she kept asking him why they were talking....keep in mind Tony's tiny, she's 25 years old and like 5'3" 100 pounds....He doesn't work, just drinks beer and mentally breaks her down everyday..he's come in at least every week and I know him...seems nice but just blows up...so anyway she tells us to go out the backdoor and look at her truck, her F150 had a huge hole in it with a shovel hanging out....he threw a shovel threw her truck window after he smashed her whole apartment, smashed her bigscreen TV, everything in her livingroom...etc....with a hammer. We were asking if she called the police....she said she didn't and wasn't going to...stating every excuse women say after they've been beaten....she was so screwed up, I gave her some wash clothes and helped clean up her face...and I mean it...I've never seen anyone so beat up before, I was enraged....That big guy just beat up his girlfriend who is easily half his size....She told us she couldn't come to work and that she had to go clean up her apartment before Wayne came back home...we kept telling her to call the police but she wouldn't....I got off my shift late this morning just after Toni left....I didn't know what to do, so I drove past her apartment complex (didn't know her address) and noticed her truck with the hole in it and I saw Wayne get out of his car looking pissed out of his mind....So I drove away and got to a pay phone a few blocks away from my house at the park, called the police and told them that I saw a women at the Schneider Apartment Complex covered in blood...etc...etc...and that she needed help and that a man had beat her up....I got back in my car and drove back to her apartments, I parked across the street in a parkinglot and there were 3 Menasha squads there and an ambulance....I saw Wayne get arrested and put in the car then I drove off. I was just so pissed I had to do it, when I saw that *ucker heading back to the apartment I knew he was going to do something to her....Ugh...What an unbelievable morning. I don't know how Toni's doing, but I suppose I'll find out about her when I work on Thursday..
I am proud of you BCB. Quick thinking and being able to think smart about the whole thing. Even if you were enraged (as you should have been) it was definitely the right thing to do.
Why would she come into work being all bloody and beaten? I would call off for the day, that's for sure.I hate guys who hit on their girlfriends, it's the worst thing you can do. I'm not trying to act like a tough guy, but I would have beat his ass if I saw him after the incident happened. After I was done, then I would have called the cops.
It's just unbelievable to me how someone can do something to a little women like that....god. I'm over it now but this morning I don't think I've ever been so pissed in my life.

Some people are just cruel. And the sad part is hearing stories like that, the guy will go to jail, he'll get get and eventually it will happen agian. Not necessarily to the same girl though

Since I work for the department that arrested him, me beating him up would be pretty foolish, not to mention he's huge so he could probably take me. I wouldn't mind beating the sh*t out of people like that though....people like him are cowards.
Jesus Christ, that is pretty terrible. Good for you though for taking the initiative and helping her out by calling the cops. Why would he do this? What a disturbed man...
BCB - The best young cop? What an idiotic lady though. What were some of her excuses for not wanting to call the cops?
Pacers Fan Forever you don't need to ask if you've ever known somebody in an abusive relationshipThat's the sad thing though..he'll be in jail for a few days and back out on the streets

I've heard stories of course and I've been to shelters that help abused families. I don't know - I was just wondering.
People that are abused always seem to go back because they think things will be different ...etc....Could you imagine if nobody called the police this morning and Wayne killed her? I would have to live with that for the rest of my life....

Good luck man. It sounds like you could be in danger of your life. It definitely was a brave thing to do and you did the right thing. Hopefully that guy gets justice that's due for him.

He's the one who is responsible for having you put in jail. His name is Jesse. J-e-s-s-e. He lives alone in that house over there, and is usually home at night. Here's his birth certificate, drivers license, daily schedule, and we've attached a tracking device to him and you can use this to find him. Remember, when you are sitting there rotting in jail, he's the one who did this to you. Oops, I dropped my gun. Oh well, you can have it. Kthxbye. Have a nice day."
