I don't think anyone would take a player of ahead of Durant or Oden, just to keep their jobs first and foremost. It's hard to tell how good Yi is gonna be.Lots of people thought the Raptors screwed up last year taking Bargnani, but he's been very impressive this year and shown flashes of just how good he could be.Yi COULD be better than Durant in 5-6 years time, but I very much doubt it.

Yi is not going to be better than Durant, I'm still baffled by meltin's comment. But about Bargnani, I still stand by my thoughts: they should have taken LaMarcus Aldridge. Aldridge can play center, Bargnani can't and Bosh doesn't like it. Bargnani has come along further than I though, I'll admit that. But he's not what they really need. What's gonna happen 3 years from now when Bosh and Bargnani both are good players? They play the same position and I have even read quotes from Bosh saying that he'd rather not play the 5. Well, what are they going to do? Play Bargnani at the 3? No. Toronto has a history of using high draft picks on players that are the same position as their star. I love Bryan Colangelo, I trust him, but I'm still VERY skeptical of that selection. Aldridge should have been taken, IMO.

it's a tough call to take Aldridge or BargnaniBargnani at the very worst will be pau gasol. If he has the drive to practice and improve every year, he COULD be as good as Dirk.Dirk didn't show to much the first few years of his career but glimpses.Bargnani has show some of that this year.Aldridge will be solid, but perhaps not spectacular (but he's had some niiice games this year). we'll have to wait 3 years to see what was the right call.Yi, probably not as good as Durant, but you can't say for sure, we haven't seen Yi against high level competition. there have been plenty of 'can't miss' players who have done exactly that.I'm not saying I believe it, and will be shocked if Yi was better, but hey Raef Lafrenz & Robert Traylor was drafted ahead of Dirk, because they were 'better prospects' than dirk...
