Also, Big Al should absolutely DOMINATE Voskuhl/Brezec. I mean DOMINATE.
I think the Celtics are going to win this one...These games are always pretty exciting when they play each other, but the C's have been playing really well as of late. They solved their guard dilema, Paul has been doing better, and big Al has been dominating like no ones business. Charlotte is without their best player in Emeka, and they have no one down low to stop Al. He is going to have a great game, and I take the C's by 12+.

Get off Gerald Green's dick too. Pretty good so far at halftime. 54-39. Pierce and Al combined for 32 points, looking pretty good for us. As we all though, Jefferson having a great game downlow.
Hope you're enjoying this one CB32. I'll be there Friday vs. the Mavs... dope. This game is everything we'd hoped for when we drafted Big Al. Pierce and Big Al dominating and leading the way. I absolutely love it.
You've gotta be kidding me. How did we lost this game. They came back from 18. Wow, terrible game since Pierce left.
Wow, how did they lose that game? They were dominating early, and I fell asleep on the couch around halftime. Everything was going great....What a choke.
I just got back from the game, and let me just say: I am ticked off for many reasons. Let me lay them all out for you: 1. Doc started Delonte at point guard... and Scal at the 3. Delonte is not a point guard, Rondo should be starting, and Scal is a 4. 2. Perk was having a great game, yet he only plays 24 minutes. 3. Ray plays 18 minutes, Bassy plays 6. NO WAY should that happen, yet it has on a consistent basis. 4. Doc had some of the worst/smallest lineups out there I've ever seen. Delonte played some SF tonight, Gerald played PF, and Gomes played at the 5. ALL together... with Rondo and Ray. Ridiculous. 5. Our defense was completely non-existent. We left so many shooters open, it's not acceptable. 6. When Big Al has Gerald Wallace on him, and they aren't double-teaming... GO TO HIM EVERY TIME. 7. Doc took way too long to put the starters back in in the 4th. We had a 16 or 18 point lead, yet Doc waits until they actually tie it up to tell the starters to return? Idiot. 8. Gerald wasn't taking it to Morrison. He can blow past him every time! Do it! Player-by-Player Analysis Pierce played good ball. He was shooting very well, creating his own shot, and abusing Carroll like he should have. Too bad he was poked in the eye and sat out the rest of the game. Ugh. Big Al played himself a very solid game. He gave me a GIANT scare when he went down holding his knee, then he got up limping like crazy and my heart stopped. I'm happy he shook it off and still played. Another nice night for Al. Perk was great. He was very aggressive, he was moving and running the floor VERY well, he was crashing the boards, getting to the line. He played one of his best games of the season, without question. Perk has been awesome lately, let's hope he can keep it up and begin next season where he left off. Rondo came in and brought a ton of energy, as usual, and he really made a lot of hustle plays. He was doing normal Rondo stuff, and he also had a sick behind the back pass. I wish the kid could shoot though. The Powe Show was great tonight! If he didn't win the Tommy Award tonight, I don't know why. He was a monster on the glass and he was working SO hard. He fought hard all night long and made some spectacular hustle plays. I'm sure Tommy was going nuts. Both Delonte and Gomes had really off nights. Gomes kept losing the ball and he couldn't hit a shot to save his life, neither could Delonte. It was nice to see Gomes back, though. Gerald refused to take it to Adam Morrison, which was ridiculous. He would burn him every time. Player Stat Lines Al Jefferson: 22 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists on 9-15 shooting Paul Pierce: 23 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals on 9-16 shooting, 2-5 from 3 Kendrick Perkins: 13 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks on 3-5 shooting, 7-8 FT Delonte West: 10 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 block on 5-13 shooting, 0-2 from 3 Rajon Rondo: 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals on 0-2 shooting Leon Powe: 4 points, 8 rebounds, 1 block on 1-3 shooting, 2-2 FT Gerald Green: 8 points, 1 rebound, 2 assists, 2 steals on 2-9 shooting, 0-2 from 3, 4-7 FT Ryan Gomes: 4 points, 3 rebounds on 1-8 shooting Allan Ray: 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 1 block on 0-3 shooting, 0-1 from 3 Brian Scalabrine: 2 rebounds, 1 block on 0-1 shooting Sebastian Telfair: 6 minutes, 0-1 shooting Michael Olowokandi: DNP Next Game: Friday (3/23/07) at home vs. Dallas at 7:30 pm ET.
Should I be surprised? This guy is a f*cking idiot..I said I'd give him a second chance before the game started and that I wouldn't be too mad if he got a one-year extension because of all the injuries and blah blah blahBut is he serious? You don't "rest the starters" THAT LONG with a 17 point lead..more like a 37 point leadHe doesn't get it..this team isn't allowed to play soft at the end of gamesYou need to teach these kids how to close big games..you don't play the subs the entire 4th quarter (except for Rondo over Scal)Fire Doc..seriously..he lost that game for us..not the team..you can't blame guys like Ray/Powe when they don't even play that much on a consistent basis
y'all are losing sight of the big picture.lose now, go for Durant or Oden.do you guys seriously think this team will be a STRONG playoff contender next year without a another franchise player?do we need the #3 pick and a project?Oden or Durant will make an immediate impact and with Paul, AL and Rondo there to make it easier on either of those guys, the C's could make a big jump and get a #5 or 6 seed in the playoffs.being #7 or 8 with a project draft pick = gone in the first round.let Doc screw with the line ups, lose and ensure a good draft pick.seeing the C's win now is absolutely useless IMO.

And guess what else... even if we have the worst record in the NBA, we still have a less than 50% chance at getting the top pick. It's a lottery, anything can happen. The worst team hasn't gotten the #1 pick very often. In fact, the 3rd worst team has statistically proven to get it more often than the 1st and 2nd worst teams.
that's true, but if you're statistically supposed to get the #1 pick and get bumped down 1, the consolation prize is still Durant or Oden.being #3 well, you've just been screwed out of two potential franchise players.the Bucks have 5 more wins than the C's.The Grizz only have 3 less wins than the C'skeep losing, hope the Grizz keep winning IMO.yes it is encouraging to see the Celts playing well right now, but look at what that did for the Warriors this year after they played well at the end of last year....The Celts got screwed this year by Paul's injury and all the other various injuries that prevented team chemistry.Next year with or without Durant and Oden they will be better. Will the be playoff contenders able to get out of the first round?I highly doubt the current team will improve enough to be considered that without an infusion of good talent.

If you're #1 and you get bumped down, who says you're going to be dumped down to #2? You want a perfect example? Last year - Portland had the worst record, they ended up with the 4th pick. The FOURTH. There are NO guarantees. 1. I don't want the worst record. It's shameful. 2. I don't want us to keep losing, it pisses me off. As a true fan, I can't stand people rooting for losses. 3. Memphis has been tanking for a month, they will not end up with more wins than us. 4. Milwaukee has 5 more wins, yes, but they also just shut down Bogut/Villanueva for the year. Also, that 5 win spread is A LOT considering the fact that there are only 14 games left. Even if they only win 1 game the rest of the year, and we win 5, we still have the worse record. We are virtually locked in for the 2nd worst record. Let nature take its coarse and stop worrying about the lottery day in and day out.
CelticFan - We don't know if we'd get the number one or number two pick. We aren't even sure if Durant may enter this years draft. What if we get the 3rd pick in the draft, who do we got after then? What you are saying is basicly you want us to tank. It wouldn't be a bad idea, but lottery is just to risky.
This guy Doc Rivers is a f*cking clown...he had the balls to say this"At some point, those other guys have to be able to play a little bit. You look at the Phil Jacksons. They're able to [put the game in the hands of the bench] all year because they know they're playing for a title and they can teach lessons to their bench. They've lost games that way. All those other coaches who don't have championship teams don't have the opportunity to actually do that, where you just leave them in anyway. [Last night], I just said, 'They're staying in.' I got the bad looks from [starters] on our bench and I just told them, 'No, you're not going in.'The Bobcats outscored the Celtics, 30-13, in the fourth, shooting 63 percent. Rivers criticized the second unit for attempting "fancy plays" and "not playing a lick of defense."Ridiculous.............................................EDIT: "I was not throwing the game or anything like that because I've heard all those questions [before]," said Rivers. "Honestly, I got to the point early in the fourth quarter and I turned to my coaches and I said, 'We're going to win or lose with this group.' I got to the point where I thought, 'What do we get if we win this game if we put Paul [Pierce] and Al [Jefferson] back in? What do we get out of this game?' That was what I was asking on the bench. What would we get out of that? If we put those guys in, we win?So he basically admits he threw the game? lol

That reminds me of an episode of Cops... cops pulled up to a house and a guy ran out of the house hysterically and yelled "Hey! I don't smoke no drugs!!!" (the cops didn't even ask him anything yet). But Doc CLEARLY tanked this game, and 3 sports shows talked about it today. That is NOT good, all that negative publicity about tanking is pissing me off. We weren't tanking, until last night. That was just a joke. A CLEAR tank job and clearly Doc trying to sweet-talk his way out of that hole. The 2nd unit played too fancy? Um... no they didn't, in fact they were too passive. I remember Allan Ray dribbling around for literally 18 straight seconds on one play, but that's it. They couldn't defend, Doc? No sh*t you idiot, you had 3 guys 6'3'' and under and our PF was a 21 year old swing man.
