Honestly, I would - but if you considered it just fun, truly, then I can't tell you what to feel. What I feel is very uncomfortable that all these dudes are taking over "Me Too" and as usual making it a joke. It's not. And I sure as FUCK won't share with THIS group.
It is a safe space to share one's sexual assault experiences. Sorry they don't conform with your personal, privileged definition of what sexual assault is.
still trolling. it's almost like constant trolling will make it so if you ever try to be serious, no one believes you. huh, weird.
I made this thread to show that males (who are primarily the participants on this board) can also be the victims of sexual assault and harassment. That the problem is larger than simply just limited to females. These are our stories. But continue to mock, ignore and victim shame.
You're either being completely disingenuous or you're trying to hijack a cause that has little to do with you. Either way, you're being a dick and you know it. @hoojacks is 100% correct.
So the "cause" can only be appropriated by women? Males cannot be the victims of sexual assault? The stories listed here say otherwise. And for many, its comforting to be able to discuss them.
Again, you're hijacking to prove a point. You're lessening the impact to women, period. And you know this. And you know what you're doing. But whatever. Doesn't change anything. Trolls be trollin'
We better start going after the media for bringing up Corey Feldman. White and male. #ALLASSAULTSMATTER
you're being disingenuous to score coolguy meme points. nice virtue signaling, bro. should I look for screencaps of this thread on 8chan?
Huh? I'm sorry, when did I take it over and make it into a joke? It is a seriously shitty event that happens in many peoples lives. I had nothing to share because I thankfully have never experienced it, so I shared two stories of people that were close to me and meant something to me.
It isn't funny. It seems like almost every woman and maybe half of men were assaulted in some way. I think men feel like they should have stopped it and if they didn't they aren't a real man. Most of the stories are of kids so why they feel that way is anyone's guess. Even if this thread was all trolling it might help if people realize how bad human beings really are. I wouldn't trust my kids with anyone (one major reason I don't want any)
Can only speak for myself and cannot speak for anyone else, you included. Hopefully by my sharing what happened to me does not minimize what happened to you. You felt what you felt with your experience. Guessing if you had tried to press charges that it would not have went anywhere. Agreed that this thread should not be derailed because people have issues with El Prez.
Yeah. I shared that I had been drugged and raped. And got told that it doesn't mean the same thing because I don't have to deal with the same things women do. And that I shouldn't have posted it.
Facebook. I get that men and women have to deal with different things. I prefaced my post with that as well. I understand that I don't have to deal with 90 percent of what women do. But, sexual assault can effect anybody, and no one's personal experience should be devalued based on their gender. I was told that my rape didn't matter and that should take my post down because it was distracting from the narrative. I didn't post my experience lightly or as a joke. I saw brave people sharing their stories and found the courage finally share my experience and now I just kind of feel like shit. Thanks internet!
