    I would guess it depends where in the leg, but ankles are usually very bad. I fractured mine in highschool and was in a full leg cast for almost a year. I am sure things are more advanced today with treatment - but it was a real hassle at the time and multiple procedures to reassemble it

    Depends on the fracture. Haywards looks like a spiral fracture, that's where the bone splinters instead of snaps. In leg or ankle that fracture is very bad.

    Grant Hill was never the same after his ankle injury. However, his was mismanaged and I do not know if Heyward's injury is similar to Hill's.

    A broken ankle is much worse than a leg. Could have fucked ligaments and tendons. There are lots of moving parts in play here.
