I was liking him until they listed basically everything as his weaknesses.

Has some good size and speed but doesn't seem to use it well.... yet. As the G league becomes more and more important, I can see us investing more and more in two way players.

    I like this:

Baldwin's excellent physical profile, which has him standing 6'3” in height, with a ridiculous 6'10” wingspan and a well-built frame, creates quite a bit of intrigue around him as a prospect, especially on the defensive end, where his size and lateral mobility give him the potential to defend two positions down the line, versatility that decision makers are always craving. - Source: http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Wade-Baldwin-82826/ ©DraftExpress

You're pitching softballs, now? So many possible replies :)

OK, I can see now that no one else actually answered you. It a contract where the amount of the player's salary that counts against the cap is pro-rated based on the time he is actually with the team. The rest of the time the player is assigned to the G League.

Looks kinda buff for a PG. Great size. So is Napier gone?

Sounds very Marcus Smart-esque. Wonder why Memphis didn't like him.

I am VERY happy with this signing - upside is huge. Mid-1st rounder for nothing just because he got caught in the Memphis roster squeeze - I think I read that they really didn't want to get rid of him.

Really like this signing, and agree he has Marcus Smart Defensive potential.

Excellent physicality (exactly what we need behind CJ & Dame).
If our coaches can extract somewhat decent shooting from the likes of Aminu and Turner - then there's a good chance they can make a player out of Baldwin. Not to mention the young fella gets to learn the tricks of the trade from CJ & Dame.

Anyone you try and model your game after?

Baldwin: "Russell Westbrook, but I try and have a better IQ than he does."

This man is already a goat in my book.

Or trade him before it gets to that, ala Plumlee.

So he has a 8'4 standing reach.. I think he could easily play SG. Would be a tad undersized but seems strong. I think his skillset fits a secondary ball-handler/off-ball guard more than a PG.

I think that is the idea here.

Olshey taking the attention off Melos debut with the signing of Baldwin, always two steps ahead that guy.

These 2 way contracts are becoming popular I see. First Blazer one I remember was HCP's replay guy/concession stand deal. Pretty cool
