SHOULD BE MISAPPROPRIATING BROS. MOMENTARY LAPSE SINCE I WAS SO TRIGGERED.

Newest commercial uses "Shut em Down", which was a politically charged rap song in the early 90s.

It's really more of a case of someone not understanding a song, like playing Green Day's "Good Riddance" at a graduation, or the Police's "every step you take" at a wedding.

More likely they paid the record label. Who knows how much PE actually got. The song actually bashes Nike for doing what this marketing campaign is doing.

Plus its the principle of the matter, the song was a political statement about consumerism and exploiting the poor communities, yet they are marketing $200 sneakers to kids that can't afford them.

    Fucking jealous as usual.

This thread is interesting to me because this song is my favorite PE song and the Nike line is my favorite line in it.

Would be like Arizona using By the Time I get to Arizona in a tourism ad.

To me, this is Public Enemy eventually selling out. Which is a shame, I was a huge fan of them.

You're trippin. And you must have no clue about why the Flava Flav Character exists.

He is supposed to be the epitome of what white America thinks about Black people generally. He played is part to a T and we love him for it.

911 is still a fuckin' joke.

I can't afford em. Lebron wouldn't buy em anyway if he's as cheap as he says.

I was at a UNLV game that he played drums with the band. One of the greatest things I've ever seen.
