http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2807606You've got to think that they still could probably play, but the Bucks just want to win the Oden/Durant sweepstakes.
I would be resting him for the final few games of the year whether they are trying to get a good draft pick or not, they have nothing to lose. There's no point in risking further injury on your young guys when you don't have a chance at the playoffs anyway.

Experience always helps for a sophomore player in the NBA.</div>Of course it does, but it's not like he sat out for the entire season. He has started and played in all 66 games this year, missing the last 15-16 games isn't going to hurt anybody. He already has the sophomore experience, he doesn't need to risk further injury.
If you still can play, it's not like there is NO reason for you to continue to play some of the season like you said. That's what I was getting at. It is always good to gain as much game experience as you can early on in your career.
Again, he's already had plenty of experience. If he's injured, then there is no use in him risking further injury to himself. He's still young, he doesn't need to rush into anything. That's just my opinion, it can't really be debated.
He's a second year player. Are you saying that he's had ENOUGH experience? No one has had enough experience as a sophomore. If a player wants to become a really good player quickly, then they need ALL the game experience that they can get.
You're killing me, you don't understand anything. I'm talking about SOPHOMORE experience. It's obvious that young guys can get all the experience they need, nobody is debating that. What I'm saying is that he has already played 90% of the regular season, he has that experience under his belt already. Missing the last 16 games isn't going to make a big difference, if he's injured then he shouldn't risk injuring himself even more. He's a young player, and has nothing to rush.I'm done now, it's stupid. You're not going to change my opinion.
This has absolutely nothing to do with the draft or our teams loterry status. Andrew Bogut has some real issues and has been playing with noticeable pain, and Charlie Villanueva's been having a lot of problems with his shoulder. We have like 14 games left in the season, there's no point in bringing either back, getting them healthy so they can work at 100% over the offseason is the #1 priority. There's no point in rushing these guys back out there so they can play a few more games when we're cleary out of playoff contention. With Bogut and Villanueva out we can play Ersan Ilyasova a lot more and get him some more minutes which he needs.

Just so you know, I edited my post Tony. There's really nothing Villanueva/Bogut are going to learn in the next 14 games, there's no point in having them play when both could further bother their injuries. Like I said, this opens up playing time for some of our young forwards who need experience far more than Bogut/Villanueva do. Andrew Bogut has a sprained foot, no need for him to play the last few games, I don't want him hurting himself further. Charlie Villanueva has a really bad shoulder and he's missed a lot of games, I don't want him hurting his shoulder (he's have surgery on it this summer).

Charlie V on the other hand has only played in 39 games this year. HE could use more experience because he hasnt improved at all over his rookie year. I'm talking in general, whereas you are just talking about Andrew Bogut.
Charlie Villanueva doesn't need to come back and gain experience....hell, when he does play he comes off the bench anyway. He's having surgery this offseason, shut him down and wait for next year.
He doesn't need to gain more experience? His production has actually regressed since his rookie year. He needs to get some familiarity with the Bucks offense, create chemistry with the other guys, and maybe to get some more good games under his belt for next year. If it is a serious injury, he probably should sit down though.

His play has not regressed, he's had injury problems with have been nagging him, this whole seasons been a waste. He doesn't need more chemistry with the players...the only guys that are coming back next year that he's used to playing with are Redd, Bogut and Skinner. He's been hurt since the 9th game of the season, there's no use in playing him anymore and no use in further hurting his shoulder.
