I must admit, I thought the Kings would be better, in part because I think George Hill is a pretty good player (he was last year, anyway). He's not worth $20M (is anyone?) but currently he's REALLY not worth it. Anyone been watching Sacramento can tell me what's up? Have they just accelerated Fox's role? If so, are they ready to unload Hill ASAP? Because if he could return to what he was, he would be the perfect third guard for us (much more so than Bledsoe, I think (he shot 40% from 3 to Bledsoe's 33% last year)). But if he's gone to shit, never mind.
Since when do L@ker fans get to dictate anything on this forum? OP, I would be nervous we would be adding another chemistry issue. Would Hill be that good as a third guard at that price? And would he move the needle right now? I’m not sure.
I'm not against it but I think with Pat C's emergence we really only need a backup PG, assuming Napier keeps not getting a chance
What's good about Hill is that he can guard both guard spots because he's got a huge wingspan (7'0"). HOWEVER, I just found out he's 31, which is a bit old.
We need a skillset that Pat doesn't bring, which is a guard that can penetrate to the rim, shoot, and distribute. Pat shouldn't stop us from adding that skillset.
He seems like a smart player. I'd definitely try to land him if possible. Meyers, Vonleh, Napier, and a pick (maybe?)
Not possible. How do we pay Hill and Nurks 20+ next year? That would be the whole salary cap for 4 players.
I also want Connaughton's role to expand as the backup guard. The 20 Million dollar George Hill quest should be vaporized.
