The more I think about it. The more I'm dumbfounded by that defensive scheme.
Your scheme was to stop corner threes. Especially the short corner with having the inbounds defense shading to that short corner. Okay I get it.
However you decide to a 6'4(wtf no way cj is 6'4) guard in the corner to basically prevent that pass from ever happening.
Yes it blew up their play, as Lopez was in a clear position to set a backpick on a cutting guard running to that corner.
However you left one person to guard three shooters. Ball recognized this and tossed it to one of them for a good look.
Literally the scheme ran there was bonkers.
pls fix I don't want to see that again.

Well, it was the Lakers, so obviously there is no such thing in that situation.

Your predictions don't come across as realistic.
They come across as 'I'm always going to predict lower, than I actually think they'll finish. That way I'll never be disappointed and can rag on the people who have higher expectations.'
To each their own. Kind of silly for you to rag on those who predict a little higher than you.

You don't get to pick your nicknames or catchphrases. You think Rex Chapman liked being call The Wonder Dog?

Besides, Lillard Time sounds like Miller Time, and we all know he drinks like a fish so...

In fairness to you, last night was enough to drop us to 7th in both categories.

    Nick Young is fake news.

You can choose your own nickname and catchphrase, but it just makes you look like a narcissist.

We missed our best defender...that's the difference...and 7th in both categories shows improvement still over seasons past

I don't see it like that. I live my life that way man. I don't go into movies thinking they are going to be fantastic or amazing for example. When I bought my car used, I just assumed shit would go wrong with it eventually, I didn't think it would run perfect forever. I don't know if those are good analogies, I just realize the seasons are long and grueling and shit happens. Ups and downs....... How could somebody look at this roster and the improvements of the teams out west and honestly think we would have HCA in the playoffs this season? This is probably a .500 team my man.

You also thought Portland would be a bottom 5 team the year after Aldridge left. I thought they'd get around 35-37.
Last year I was 6 wins off of the total they ended with.
This year there is a clear top 2 in the West.
Everyone else is on pretty equal footing from 3-10, so predicting anywhere in there is realistic to me.
Predicting lower or higher is crazy, and usually gets laughed at on these forums by the majority.

I really don't know where we end up at but what seen last night it don't give me good vibes about even making the playoffs. But the good thing almost every other in the West is playing the same way. Beginning the season is kind of weird in away this year.

The real question in that last play, is why was Stotts having someone guard the inbounder?

The 5th defender should've been where Kuzma shot it from.

“Portland went to some junk defense, which you should,” Walton said. “There’s point seven, only threes, they were all around the three-point line so it took us out of the play we were actually running. But I’m glad that they figured out a way to manipulate what was going on to get someone a good look. It was Lonzo taking it out and Kuzma, two rookies, they had the confidence and, again, I’ll take Kuz taking that shot at the end of the game, too.”
